Judith has been a character on The Walking Dead for a while, but for a long time, she was a background character because she was a baby. However, with the big time skip at the beginning of Season 9, the writers have been giving her a more prominent role in the Alexandria plotline. Given that she’s now a main character, and it’s the last season, fans are wondering if Judith will die in The Walking Dead Season 11.
Does Judith die in The Walking Dead Season 11?
Judith is still alive as of episode 5 of The Walking Dead, Season 11.
We’ve seen a lot of the main cast die or leave in the last ten seasons of The Walking Dead. Ironically, despite being only 10, Judith is now one of the longest-lasting characters on the show alongside Carol and Daryl. She was introduced in “Killer Within,” the fourth episode of The Walking Dead Season 3. She was born during the group’s stint at the prison, just before the war with the Governor broke out.
Judith Grimes is the daughter of Rick and Lori Grimes. Lori died giving birth to her, and she is among the first generation of children to grow up in the post-apocalypse. For most of the show, she’s a background character since she’s barely a toddler by the time season eight rolls around. This made it really easy to forget about her since she was only seen playing with a toy in the background or sitting on someone’s lap.
In The Walking Dead Season 9, Episode 5, “What Comes After,” There’s a six-year time skip and her current actress, Cailey Fleming, is introduced as playing nine-year-old Judith. Since then, she’s been a main character, and part of the Alexandria plot has included her.
Right now, we’d give Judith a low possibility of death. Writers don’t typically like to kill children, and Alexandria is fairly safe as of episode 5 of season 11. Despite having low food supplies, the town’s walls do a decent job of keeping the inhabitants safe. However, the walls have seen better days, and older kids in Alexandria have been bullying Judith.
We think it’s more likely that Judith will be forced to confront the older bullies. This might result in her killing one or more of them, starting the pattern of violence that Rick and Michonne wanted to prevent her from experiencing.
