Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach release date platforms Oculus Steam VR PSVR

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach release date: Is it coming to Oculus Quest, Vive, and PSVR?

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach finally got a release date during today’s State of Play. The upcoming VR game from Steel Wool Studios (that also did the first VR game in the series) is set in the FNAF universe, and players take the role of a security guard trapped in the Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex after closing. Now that we know when it’s coming out, fans are wondering if the game is coming to PSVR, Oculus Quest, and Steam VR.

When is the FNAF Security Breach release date?

FNAF: Security Breach is releasing on PS4 and PS5 on December 16, 2021. The first teaser trailer for the game was shown at the September 2020 PlayStation showcase, and it was originally slated to release before Christmas 2020. However, due to increased and increased scale and complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was delayed to early 2021. Unfortunately, in April 2021, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach was delayed again until late 2021.

Fortunately, the game isn’t in development hell, and we have a solid date for when it’ll debut. It might be a year late, but the trailer shown today looks great, and it seems like the extra development time was worth it.

What platforms is FNAF: Security Breach coming out on?

Since it’s been a part of multiple PlayStation events, fans can probably guess that it’s coming out on PSVR. However, details are more spotty about the game’s PC release. Supposedly it’ll be coming out on PS4, PS5, and PC on December 16, 2021. If so, we can bet that it’ll utilize SteamVR, which is compatible with practically every virtual reality headset to date.

What we don’t know yet is whether or not the game will hit the Oculus Store. No announcements have been made so far, but we know that if it does hit that storefront, it’ll be at a later date.
