Halo Infinite: How to fix blue screen on Xbox Series X

The Halo Infinite blue screen issue is preventing players from playing the game on Xbox Series X and Xbox One, with some struggling to hop into its recently released multiplayer beta. So how do you fix this problematic issue for the Halo Infinite multiplayer module? Here’s how to rectify the error.

In order to fix the Halo Infinite blue screen error, you must perform a hard reset on your Xbox console. To do this on either the Xbox Series X, S, or Xbox One, perform the following steps:

  1. Hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds
  2. Release the power button and then disconnect the cable for 10 seconds
  3. Reconnect the power and turn the console back on
  4. Start up Halo Infinite again

After performing the hard reset, you should be able to access the Halo Infinite multiplayer component. Xbox has even confirmed this, tweeting that players should “reboot” their console — however, without using the hard reset terminology, some have been confused by the exact steps and have struggled to get the game back online.

The hard reset should make Halo Infinite playable and you’ll be able to hop into its multiplayer beta, which was given a surprise release today following the Xbox 20th-anniversary celebration presentation. The game’s multiplayer component has been released in full ahead of the launch of its single-player campaign in December, though is still currently in its beta stages, meaning that improvements are expected to be made over time.
