V Rising Pristine Hide Farming

V Rising: Where and How to Farm Pristine Hide Quickly

Many players want to know the best way to approach V Rising Pristine Hide farming, as the item is a required component for Pristine Leather. As the game is still in Early Access, Stunlock Studios has altered the numbers over time as to how many Pristine Hide (and Fish Oil) you need to create one piece of Pristine Leather, but regardless, you’ll want to get as many Pristine Hides in your storage as quickly as possible.

What is the best way to farm Pristine Hide?

V Rising Pristine Hide Farming

Pristine Hide only drops from werewolf enemies, which only appear at night starting at 8 o’clock. In the early game, the primary location to find werewolves is in Dunley Farmlands, specifically the areas near the south-eastern part of the map, although werewolves can randomly spawn anywhere in the region.

Once you have a high enough Gear Level, around 55 or higher depending on your skill level, you can wait for dusk to hit Gloomgrave Village in the north-eastern area of Dunley Farmlands, which is no surprise given that the populace there transform into werewolves. Here, they have a tendency to attack in groups, but so long as you’re prepared, you can usually find about 100 Pristine Hide with every kill.

Note: As a warning, Gloomgrave Village is where you’ll find Wilfred the Werewolf Chief, a level 64 boss located in a small house located near the northern part of the village. So make sure you don’t trigger this boss accidentally.

Even better, many of the barrels in this area will spawn Fish Oil, the other component needed to make Pristine Leather, so make sure you include these destructibles within your run. For those starting out in the game, you will need to build a Tannery to create Pristine Leather out of Fish Oil and Pristine Leather. Both the Tannery and Leather recipes are dropped by Keely the Frost Archer, a Level 20 boss found in the Bandit Trapper Camp in Eastern Farbane Woods.
