V Rising includes fast travel, but it does have some limits. The one most players will find the most frustrating is when trying to teleport while carrying crafting materials. So, is there a way to get past the “cannot teleport while carrying resources” message in V Rising? We’ll take a look below.
Can you teleport while carrying resources in V Rising?
You can fast travel in V Rising by approaching a Vampire Waygate and choosing a destination. Any Vampire Waygate you’ve discovered automatically gets added to the list and can be teleported to at will. At least most of the time.
If you’ve tried to fast travel at a waygate while carrying crafting materials, you’ll get a message that says, “You cannot Teleport while carrying Resources.” Obviously, this is a bit frustrating, and you may be wondering if there’s a way around this issue.
Unfortunately, not being able to teleport while carrying resources in V Rising is less of an “issue” and more of a “mechanic.” The developers don’t want you to just farm crafting materials and zip back to your lair. Instead, there’s always a bit of risk versus reward going on when you’re laden with resources.
Unfortunately, you’ll always have to be on guard if you have resources in your inventory. In PvE servers, it’s not as big of a worry since the AI won’t be actively hunting for you. In PvP servers, though, you’ll have to worry about other vampires trying to prey on you to gain all those juicy crafting materials. So, the best thing to do is always know the fastest way back to your castle and always be ready to lose what you’ve gathered up.
The game is in early access, so there may be an upgrade that allows you to teleport with resources at some point, but for now, it’s just not an option.
