“ELOPE” is going to be a tough one for many players. While vowels are usually easy to guess due to how common they are, few players consider duplicate letters until the later stages of the game. That second “E” is unlikely to be found until the very latest stage, which can be a huge pain. What’s more, “ELOPE” isn’t a very common word and is rather heard in everyday conversation. Ideally, players will be able to lock down four of the five letters and then make a good guess.
Those having trouble finding the right word may want to try eliminating as many incorrect letters as possible with each new guess. So long as you aren’t playing on Hard Mode, which forces players to use confirmed guesses in all of the subsequent attempts, it’s best to use each new guess to knock out as many potential letters as possible.
