Rick and Morty season 6 will continue with its third episode on Sunday, September 18 at 11 p.m. ET in the US. UK fans will be able to watch the episode on Monday, September 19, at 4 a.m. BST through Channel 4’s streaming platform, All4. The season will be made up of 10 episodes total, in line with all seasons that have come before it except the first, which had 11.

Episode 2 of the new season saw Morty trapped inside a virtual reality game. With his consciousness spread amongst five billion of the game’s characters, it was up to Rick to play the game and save his grandson. Summer, meanwhile, had to protect the pair from alien terrorists. The results? Utter chaos and hilarity, of course.

What will happen in the next episode of Rick and Morty?

With Summer suddenly finding an interest in video games, and the episode’s teaser already riffing on just how realistic gaming developers now want their games to be, it looks to be another hilarious outing if a little more laid back than the two episodes that have come before it. A short synopsis for the episode, which is called ‘Bethic Twinstinct’, has been revealed: “Gotta love yourself or no one else ever will, broh.” Exactly what that says about the episode remains to be seen, but it’s definitely in line with the abstract synopses that we’ve seen in the past for the series.
