Octopath Traveler 2 has been revealed with a gameplay trailer and release date announcement. The game, which was part of the September 13 Nintendo Direct, has been one of the bigger highlights. While the stylized visuals remain, combat has been upgraded with a unique day/night cycle that impacts the skills of characters.

The two-minute gameplay trailer can be viewed above. It showcases many interesting locations and teases the combat, as well as the visuals and voice acting.
Players will take control of eight new travelers as they journey through the land of Solistia, each with their own story to tell.
Octopath Traveler 2 release date
The Octopath Traveler 2 release date is February 24, 2022. It’s confirmed to be coming to PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
At the time of writing, there hasn’t yet been any confirmation of an Octopath Traveler Xbox release date. Despite this, the original launched on Xbox, so the sequel is expected to as well.
In addition to the Octopath Traveler 2 reveal, major highlights of the September 13 Nintendo Direct included Pikmin 4, which got a gameplay trailer and had its release date window announced, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is the confirmed name for the sequel to Breath of the Wild.
