Sony has revealed that PlayStation 4 sales have now surpassed the 5 million mark, clocking in at just over 5.3 million worldwide.
It's worth noting that the console still has not even launched in Japan. That changes later this week on February 22nd, when the super successful gaming box is finally made available in its home territory. With no competition from Microsoft in the region and Wii U's relatively soft sales, there's no doubt that 5.3 million figure will increase dramatically over the next few weeks.
Last we heard, Xbox One sales broke the 3 million mark by the end of 2013. That number has definitely increased since then, but something tells me the Big M isn't quite near that enviable 5.3 million figure.
