New Assassin’s Creed Title in Development at Ubisoft Quebec

A new entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise is currently in development at Ubisoft's Quebec studio, the publisher announced today.

Mind you, this is not the upcoming next-gen exclusive that Ubi showed off during its E3 press conference, as the company has more AC games in development than just Assassin's Creed Unity. In fact, the rumored Assassin's Creed Comet, which is allegedly being developed specifically with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers in mind, still has yet to be formally unveiled.

"With a creative team of over 350 talented members, we are one of Ubisoft's flagship studios in the creation of the highest quality online, connected and mobile gaming worlds," managing director Nicolas Rioux said.

I'd wager that Comet is the mystery title that Ubisoft Quebec is hard at work developing. After all, Ubisoft has confirmed that it doesn't plan to abandon PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers just yet, and with AC Unity coming exclusively to Xbox One, PS4, and PC, there's just has to be a last-gen title in the works.
