What is the release date and time for The Last of Us Episode 9 on HBO Max?
The Last of Us Episode 9 will be released on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. In the U.K., the final episode will be broadcast on Sky Atlantic, and made available to stream on NOW for those who have an Entertainment Pass, on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2 a.m. GMT. The new episode will serve as the finale for Season 1 of the show, but a second season has already been confirmed.
Episode 9 is called “Look for the Light,” a reference to the Fireflies group that Ellie and Joel have been in search of for the entire series. Whether or not they will make it to the revolutionary movement before this first season, however, remains to be seen. Ali Abbasi returns to direct the final episode of the season, with Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the creators of The Last of Us, having written the episode.
