You can find the hang glider in Sons of the Forest in the mountains. It spawns in the same location at the start of each game, so you’re good to go once you find it the first time. Unfortunately, as cool as it is, it has limited utility, especially since there’s no way to put the glider in your inventory.
Sons of the Forest hang glider location
You’ll find the location of the hang glider in Sons of the Forest in the western part of the mountains. It’s on a clifftop near the border of the snow and forest biomes. Once you locate it, you can pick it up, run toward the cliff’s edge, and jump to start your flight.
Unfortunately, there’s no complex simulation of wind currents or anything, so the glider’s flight model is pretty simple. You can glide quite a ways, including all the way to our favorite base-building location, but there’s no catching thermals to gain more altitude or any fancy mechanics like that.
Can you store the glider in your inventory?
The big thing limiting the hang glider’s utility in Sons of the Forest is that you must carry it everywhere. Unfortunately, there’s no option to collapse it and put it in your inventory. After your initial flight, it’s relatively useless unless you want to drag it with you.
