Since there’s quite a lot to unpack, here’s a condensed breakdown of the major highlights, including the new hero Lifeweaver and other balance changes.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 patch notes details and highlights
These are the most important changes and updates coming with the Overwatch 2 Season 4 patch notes on April 11:
- Lifeweaver – This new hero has a chargeable healing burst, an attack that can fire projectiles in a spread, and can heal all allies within the radius of a tree.
- Stranded Spawn System – Spawn rooms that shut down will now remain active for 7 seconds and you can teleport to the new active spawn room.
- Top 500 Leaderboard Eligibility – Players will now need to win 25 Competitive matches, not just be in 25 matches in general, to enter the Top 500 Leaderboard.

- Seasonal Rank Decay Removed – A player’s Competitive Rank will not be reduced at the start of a new season anymore.
