Will there be a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel?

A Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel is likely in the works. Game Director Stif Asmussen spoke with IGN about the possibilities of a Star Wars Jedi 3 and said he always saw the series as a trilogy.

The ending of Survivor backs up Asmussen’s sequel claims by essentially wiping the slate for Cal. Now that he has access to Tanalorr, he has a secure location that the Empire can’t touch. That means Star Wars Jedi 3 could go in any direction. Cal could gather Force sensitives from around the galaxy to start an underground Jedi Order. Alternatively, he could use the planet to stockpile weapons and train troops to take on the Empire. Who knows, maybe he’ll just chill out?

There’s also the question of what will happen to Bode Akuna’s daughter, Kata. She’s likely a Force-sensitive individual, and we get a clue that she may have some hard times in the future. During the ending, a Force ghost of Cere appears to Cal and says, “Guide her through the darkness.” So, Star Wars Jedi 3 involve Kata’s struggles with her dad’s past and his death at Cal’s hands.

So, unless Star Wars Jedi: Survivor somehow sells incredibly poorly, we should see a sequel appear in around 3-4 years.
