Many Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom heat-resistant recipes exist in the game, and we’ve got a recipe list of some of the best Chilly recipes around. Any thorough exploration in the Goron territory of Hyrule in TotK will require some heat-resistance, and fireproof armor available for sale for a lot of rupees at Goron City is a good start at beating the heat. There’s plenty of lava-ridden areas too that will damage Link if he stays around unprotected for too long. Even with the armor, though, some extra protection from food isn’t a bad idea. Here are some of the better recipes that will protect you from the heat in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The following is a list of some of the best heat-resistant recipes that have the “Chilly” trait and offer the longest protection from the heat. The ingredients for these recipes will include chillfin trout, chillshrooms, cool safflina, and hydromelons.
- Chilly Fish Skewer: Chillfin Trout x 5
- Chilly Simmered Fruit: Hydromelon x 5
- Chilly Mushroom Skewer: Chillshroom x 5
- Chilly Steamed Mushrooms: Chillshroom x 4, Hyrule Herb x 1
- Chilly Meat and Mushroom Skewer: Chillshroom x 3, Any Meat x 2
- Chilly Mushroom Risotto: Chillshroom x 1, Rock Salt x 1, Hylian Rice x 1, Goat Butter x 1
- Chilly Elixir: Winterwing Butterfly or Cold Darner x 4, Monster Part x 1
All of these recipes will provide at least 10 minutes of heat resistance, with varying degrees of health and stamina recovery too.
While the hydromelons can be found mainly around Gerudo Desert, the chillshrooms, chillfin trout, and cool safflina are primarily found in the Hebra Mountains region.
We should also point out that fire-resistance and heat-resistance are two distinct properties. Sometimes they overlap in terms of armor and such, but heat-resistance will not protect you from fire damage, just from environments with a high temperature.
