The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Meat for Meat quest is a fun, memorable side task that is tough to complete because of lava. If you head to Central Hyrule in TotK, you’ll likely come across the Bedrock Bistro where the Goron chef and owner Cooke is demanding that Mezer replace the Marbled Rock Roast that he wasted. The location of the roast, though, is in a cave that is full of lava. That’s fine for a Goron but not for a regular Hylian like Link. Here’s how to obtain the Marbled Rock Roast to finish the Meat for Meat quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to complete Meat for Meat quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Meat for Meat quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be completed once you figure out how to get past the lava in the cave that Cooke directs Link to.
- In case you don’t have the Meat for Meat quest yet, head to the Bedrock Bistro located at coordinate 1756, 1548, 0278.
- Mezer gives you the hint that the Marbled Rock Roast that you need can be found in the cave that goes beyond the cart tracks, which you can find the northwest of the restaurant.
- The cave you’re looking for is called the West Restaurant Cave, but in order to survive the high heat coming from the lava inside, you’ll need some fireproof items.
- You can mitigate the high heat by creating a Fireproof Elixir or by getting heat-resistant Fireproof Armor. There are a few fireproof lizards you can find within the cave as a component for the elixir, or you can purchase the Flamebreaker armor set from Goron City for a hefty 3300 rupees for the helm, armor, and boots.
- Once you have some kind of heat resistance, head back into the West Restaurant Cave and paraglide toward the other side of the lava to find the Marbled Rock Roast.
- Use the hydrant Zonai Devices here to turn the lava into stone, so you can make a walkable pathway back to the cave entrance.
- Bring the Marbled Rock Roast back to Mezer to finish the Meat for Meat quest.
