Diablo 4 LAN Local Multiplayer PC

Diablo 4 LAN: Does It Have Local Multiplayer on PC?

Whether Diablo 4 LAN multiplayer is available is something fans want to know about, especially those who are returning to the series from Diablo 2. Back in the day, getting your friends together in the same room and playing Diablo 2 in local multiplayer through a LAN party was an awesome experience. But as Blizzard has made the Diablo franchise more modern, this capability might not be available anymore. Here’s whether Diablo 4 can be played in local co-op or multiplayer on PC.

Is Diablo 4 LAN available on PC?

Unfortunately, Diablo 4 does not have LAN multiplayer on PC. While you can still get your friends to play the game together in the same room, each person will need a separate online connection to the game’s servers to play with another.

The design of Diablo 4 borrows a lot of elements for the MMORPG genre, meaning that the experience is largely based around an online connection. Fortunately, it doesn’t take too much bandwidth to maintain a connection to Diablo 4’s servers, so multiple players using the same router should still be able to play with one another without too much trouble.

The larger problem is really on Blizzard to be able to maintain the servers so that players don’t have the same amount of login issues and error codes that the game had at early access launch.

If you’re interested in local co-op for D4, you’ll need to purchase the game for consoles. The PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S versions of Diablo 4 will allow up to two players for couch co-op. The experience will be similar to the console co-op experience of Diablo 3, except that D3 allowed for four players instead of only two.

That said, you can still connect to two other players on other platforms through cross-play, so you can still form a full four-player party pretty easily.
