Baldur's Gate 3 Sussur Tree Bark Location Where

Baldur’s Gate 3 Sussur Tree Bark Location: Where Is Masterwork Weapon Ingredient

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Sussur Tree Bark location is a necessary quest item and ingredient to complete the “Finish the Masterwork weapon” sidequest. If you haven’t received this quest yet, you need to find Highcliff’s Journal which is tucked around a fireplace in the Blighted Village. Following the objective, you can then head to the basement to find Highcliff’s Blueprints with a Melting Furnace nearby, but you need to find Sussur Tree Bark to complete the masterwork. Here’s where you can locate the Sussur Tree Bark in BG3.

Where is the Baldur’s Gate 3 Sussur Tree Bark location?

The Sussur Tree Bark location is in the Underdark near coordinates X -22, Y -144.

That’s far easier said than done, though. The Underdark, if you don’t know, is a large network of underground caverns that run beneath the earth and is classically home to drow, illithids, and other aberrations. This area is not for the feint of heart, so you may want to complete some quests in the forest and swamp first before you start stumbling around in the Underdark.

That said, there are many ways to enter the Underdark in the game. The closest route is the well in The Blighted Village, which leads to a fight against some phase spiders (which you need to kill anyway to unlock the Necromancy of Thay tome). There’s a tunnel here that your party can fall down straight into the Underdark, hopefully with the aid of the Feather Fall spell so that you don’t take a whopping amount of fall damage. Otherwise, you can also reach the Underdark through the Defiled Temple, by using an elevator at the Zhentarim Hideout, and a portal in the Overgrown Tunnel.

Once you explore and fight your way to the Sussur Tree, make sure you pick up the Sussur Tree Bark, not the Sussur Tree Petals (though you should grab them too). You can then teleport via portal back to the Blighted Village and finally use the bark in the furnace.

Completing the process of making the masterwork will reward you with the choice of a Sussur Dagger, Sussur Sickle, or a Sussur Greatsword. The damage may not be great, but it has the chance to silence an enemy upon a successful hit. This is an amazing weapon for a sneaky rogue and is effective against spellcasters who mainly require verbal components to cast many of their spells.

It’s around this time where you may encounter a particular scene with Astarion at camp, so we suggest reading through that guide to prevent the worse case scenario.
