The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Mysterious Shards are one of the few collectibles in the game. And much like their name implies, they are quite mysterious. The game doesn’t outright spell out what they are used for. Here’s what Glass Shards are in AC Mirage and what you can do with them.
What are Mysterious Shards in AC Mirage?
Mysterious Shards in AC Mirage are used for one specific mission players have to find. In order to get all 10 of these collectibles, you will have to pickpocket or loot them from certain characters with a gold shard symbol over their head. Be careful, as they always have bodyguards.
The mission attached to this is called “The Calling,” which is a task you get from Nehal early on. As her notes state, it is by an oasis north of the ‘Aqarquf Dunes in the northern part of the wilderness. You can use your bird Enkidu to pinpoint the location when you get close.
Dive into the water in the above spot on the map and swim down and to the south. You will see a cave. Swim into it and you’ll find an opening.
Go inside until you come to a room with a few pillars. You will be able to cash in your Mysterious Shards here.
Trading in three shards unlocks the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar, which is named after the Persian mythical sword. It is already fully leveled up and increases the damage you deal by 50% but also caps your health at 50%.
Spending five shards unlocks Milad’s Outfit, who is from the same Persian legend Shahnameh. This leveled up armor blinds everyone within 15 meters of an air assassination.
Trading in your last two shards unlocks the Samsaama, another famed blade that acts as your dagger in Mirage. This powerful dagger yields 10% health every five times you hit an enemy.
