Call of Duty WWII: Everything You Need To Know
Product Details
Call of Duty WWII is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One by Sledgehammer Games. It will release on November 3rd for all three platforms. rn rnThree editions will be available, as follows:rnrn Base Edition and Digital Base Edition - $59.99 rn Digital Deluxe Edition (Game + Season Pass) - $99.99 rn Pro Edition (Game + Season Pass + Steelbook) - $99.99 rn rn
A Return To Simplicity
The sci-fi gameplay of recent Call of Duty is not represented here. This is a "boots on the ground" FPS that feels more like classic games in the genre rather than the fast pacing of recent releases like Titanfall 2 and Advanced Warfare . This style of gameplay will emphasize aim and positioning rather more so than quick reflexes and vertical spacing.
Set In The European Theater
The main focus of the campaign will be the World War II European Theater, with campaign time spent in Belgium, France, and Germany ranging from 1940 to 1944. The story is said to be "dark", and its visual style represents that. rn rnDetails regarding multiplayer are being saved for E3.
A Diverse Cast
Sledgehammer Games is pushing for diverse representation, a growing theme in today's political and social climate. There has been mention of a health mixture of male and female characters in the cast as well as the appearance of an African-American U.S. Army Unit (segregated at the time). Inclusion is a priority.
Co-Op Campaign And Nazi Zombies
There will be a co-operative campaign available that may be separate from the single-player campaign. In addition, Nazi Zombies is making a comeback, this time with a narrative to enjoy.
Say Goodbye To Health Regeneration
When playing in single-player there will be no automatic health regeneration available. This is a drastic reversion back to early Call of Duty design where you needed to find health packs on the ground to heal after taking damage. This is considered a more difficult way to play FPS campaigns, but many fans of the franchise are already showing appreciation for the move.
A Place To Hang Out
In order to encourage social interaction, a hub has been introduced which will be called Headquarters. Here you will be able to meet up with other players and "hang out" before heading into a game. It's most similar to The Tower in Destiny , and will provide features for chat and other interactions.
Featuring Josh Duhamel
American actor and fashion model Josh Duhamel will be the real-life star featured in this work, serving a role similar to Kevin Spacey in Advanced Warfare . Duhamel will be motion captured and have many lines featured throughout the campaign as he plays the primary member of your squad.
