PUBG Update Notes: What Does PUBG PC 1.0 Update 5 Do?

Following a slight delay, the new PUBG anti-cheat patch is set to be deployed to live servers later today. Maintenance for the update is scheduled to begin tonight at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m ET, and is expected to last for three hours.

Developer Bluehole has provided PUBG update notes for the incoming PC 1.0 Update 5 patch, which in addition to adding new anti-cheat measures, will also tweak the red zone sound.

The new PUBG update notes were tweeted out by the @PUBG_help Twitter account:

I, for one, am ecstatic to hear that the red zone will be getting tweaked. I have my volume up way high, so as to properly hear footsteps and identify the direction of enemy fire, and always cringe when close to a red zone.

As for the PUBG anti-cheat solution, I’m hoping it works well, as I’ve run into my fair share of cheaters, and it really sucks to die to an invulnerable enemy, or a player using map hacks.
