Fortnite 3.0.0 Patch Notes

Fortnite 3.0.0 Patch Notes: What Did the Fortnite 3.0.0 Update Do?

The Fortnite 3.0.0 update has been deployed across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As you can tell from the version number, this is a significant update, which makes big changes to many aspects of both Battle Royale and Save the World.

Console players see the biggest upgrade with the 3.0.0 patch, as the game now runs at 60fps across all platforms. That is a ridiculous boost in performance, that will really help the game feel more responsive and fluid. It’s impressive that Epic Games was able to make optimizations on that kind of scale, and it’s something that all players will appreciate in a shooter like Fortnite.

In addition to the 60fps smoothness, there is of course the new Season 3 Battle Pass for players to start working on. More loot awaits those who rise through the tiers.

Fortnite might not be the only battle royale game out there, but it boasts unique gameplay mechanics in the form of building. The game’s building mechanics have seen some big tweaks, with turbo building, automatic material change, and more added to the game.

A new weapon has also been added, and it packs one hell of a punch. The hand cannon is now available in both Save the World and Battle Royale.

Find the Fortnite 3.0.0 patch notes highlights below, which detail the most significant improvements and changes made to the game.
