Stardew Valley Multiplayer Release Date

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Release Date Explained: When is Multiplayer Releasing?

Many fans are wondering about the Stardew Valley multiplayer release date on PC, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms. The multiplayer update will allow for players to join together with up to three other players online. Being that easy splitscreen local co-op play is one of the Switch’s selling points, its no surprise that fans are anticipating it but local has yet to be confirmed.

We have known about a vague Stardew Valley multiplayer release date for some time, as it was announced around the release of the Switch version late last year that the multiplayer would arrive sometime in early 2018. However, we are almost out of the “early” part of 2018 and it still has yet to release. When is it?

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Release Date Explained: Switch, PC, and More

The Stardew Valley multiplayer release date is currently still unknown. The last word we got regarding it was the “early 2018” release date. While that is an extremely vague window, we expect early to typically mean the first quarter of the year that involves January through March.

Being that March is already halfway over and it hasn’t released, we think the Stardew Valley multiplayer release date is still a ways off. However, we do think it will release this year. At least, on PC. We know that the multiplayer update will release on PC first, and we think it will be out by this summer at the earliest.

Just recently, the creator of the game shared on Twitter that the multiplayer is currently in quality assurance testing, which means that it is probably almost ready for release. It all depends on how many bugs and issues need to be ironed out and how long that takes. We expect the Stardew Valley multiplayer release date to be this summer with a late 2018 release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
