This is my first faq for Armored Core. I really enjoyed the game as much as

I enjoyed several other titles in the same genre. I usually write spoiler free

faqs but I need to make this one an exception. So, if you hate spoilers,

proceed with caution. You have been warned.



I can't guarantee that this would be a 100% guide to everything about the game

but at least I will try to address what I can. Also, should you have questions

don't hesitate to email me. I will try my best to reply personally to you as

soon as possible. Any questions already addressed in this faq will not be

entertained unfortunately.



Also, you can check out other helpful faqs as well from other authors. I also

recommend posting questions in gaming boards.



Note also.. that there are some missions that can really frustrate out of you

and you may seem to get stuck. Just remember to get the best parts you can

afford and tune your AC as situation requires. And also, try not to vent

your anger in your controller, ok?  I almost shattered controller once. XD

[ABOUT THE GAME - SYPNOSIS]

 =========================



Story begins after now defunct NAVIS CORPORATION's failure on recovering

ancient weapons technology. The world is left with destruction on its wake.

Three major corporations set rivalry aside to form a mega-corp named as the

"ALLIANCE". A Raven known as Jack-0 stands up against the oppressive rule of

the alliance, and forms an rather small but elite association of Ravens known

as "VERTEX". Jack - 0 declares an all out war within 24 hours with the

Alliance. Evangel, a Raven aligned to the Alliance gathers other Ravens to

fight for the alliance side and to fight Vertex head on. To further complicate

matters, independent warlords join the fray, attacking both sides. You have 24

hours. Your actions will determine your fate and how it ends.



Player plays as an independent Raven caught in the conflict. You have the

choice to complete mission requests issued by opposing parties. The missions

you do will determine the ending of the game. There are multiple mission paths

that lead to six endings.

[ABOUT THE GAME - ORGANIZATIONS]

 ==============================



ALLIANCE -- A mega corporation formed by former rival companies Crest, Mirage

            and Kisaragi. They say that they're trying to rebuild the world

            to its normal state but Jack-0 deemed them as an oppressive tyrant.

            The Alliance has number superiority in the upcoming battle.



ALLIANCE TACTICAL UNIT -- The military arm of the Alliance, its primary task

            is to defend the Alliance HQ and the suppression of Vertex and

            other independent warlords. Headed by a Raven named Evangel.



CREST INDUSTRIES -- 2nd largets corporation after Mirage, Crest exerted

            tremendous influence during the pre-Alliance days. They are known

            for manufacturing a diverse range of high quality weaponry at

            reasonable costs, and also some of the era's best MT units.



KISARAGI -- A technological innovator during its time, Kisaragi is always at

            the forefront of new inventions and breakthroughs.



            The company's research and development department was extremely

            successful in solving difficult problems and created many

            innovative AC-related parts.



KISARAGI LOYALISTS -- A group of scientists loyal to Kisaragi as a diffrent

            and separate entity. They are known to continuing experiment with

            bio-weapons which Kisaragi originally started in a secret facility.



MIRAGE  --  The largest of the big 3 companies. The parts and weaponry

            developed by the company successfully incorporated many new

            technological advancements, making them extremely popular.



NAVIS Corp  -- tried taking the military weaponry market by introducing

            products that incorporated a new resource they discovered. They

            ceased after the unmanned suicide weapons attack. They are also

            responsible for developing Circ-City and its surrounding areas.



RAVENS  --  an Elite group of mercenaries carrying out special assignments

            requested by the highest bidder using thier ACs (Armored Core)

            machines. They only follow themselves in battle.



RAVEN'S ARK -- Organization used to emply and manage all Ravens around. It

            stood on equal footing with the corporations and guaranteed each

            Ravens' independence. They ceased after the unmanned suicide

            weapons attack.



VERTEX   -- An small group of Ravens formed and lead by Jack-0. Although

            limited in numbers, they have elite Ravens in thier ranks. Vertex

            declared an all-out war against the Alliance within 24 hours.

[ABOUT THE GAME - MAJOR CHARACTERS]

 =================================



JACK-0 --   Pilot of AC FOXEYE and leader of Vertex. He is 3rd ranker in

            Raven's Ark arena. He formed Vertex to topple the Alliance,

            requiring the aid of some Ravens and thier ACs. During the game he

            requests missions to eliminate some Ravens in his ranks. His real

            intention remain uncertain.



EVANGEL --  Pilot of AC ORACLE and commander of ATU, Alliance's military arm.



ZINAIDA --  Pilot of AC FASCINATOR and is known as the most skilled

            independent Raven around. She doesn't have any alignments on

            either sides and basically fights to survive.



SHEILA CALDWELL -- The player's manager and operator. She was once the

            director of Mirage's Information Department but quit after the

            unmanned weapons attack. She assists the player by  providing

            real-time mission critical updates and status.



ED WEISZ -- A military researcher who gathers and analyzes information for

            Ravens. He used to do this for the corporations before but now

            assists you on getting details about mission requests.

[ABOUT THE GAME -- GENERAL NOTES]

 ===============================





MULTIPLE ACs - As soon as you start a new game, you will have 5 ACs for use.

               You can access them from the garage then press SQUARE. They

               have default names (AC01-05) and of course default parts.



               The good thing about having ang setting up multiple ACs is that

               you can have one AC specific for an assigned combat scenario.

               For example you can setup one AC for long range battle only,

               equipped with long range weapons, fcs, etc. Or better, you can

               also create an AC made specifically against another enemy AC.



               Another good point about this is that all your ACs CAN share

               the same parts, as long as you purchased the part or unlocked

               it already. But take note that when the part shared by your

               ACs are broken completely, it will be unequipped from all the

               ACs sharing the part. You need to manually re-equip it again

               after purchasing it.



PART DAMAGE -- During the heat of a really intense battle, individual parts

               take damage and affect your AC's performance significantly.

               There are 3 levels of part damage.



               YELLOW - Damaged part will lose 50% of its performance such as

               cooling, turning ability etc.



               RED - Damaged part will lose 75% of its performance and the

               delayed responses can be noticed obviously.



               COMPLETE - The part will be blown off, losing the part

               completely. So far the parts that can be blown off would be

               the heads and arms. Losing an arm loses the weapon equipped on

               it while losing the head will affect the Ac's radar functions

               and VS ECM ratings. A completely blown core will of course

               completely destroy the AC and fortunately, the legs remain

               intact but the AC's mobility is affected drastically. Back

               units and extensions remain intact.



               A blown part cannot be reequipped again, you need to

               repurchase the part and tune it as necessary.





TUNING --      Heads, Cores, Arms, Legs, Generators and Radiators can be

               individaully tuned to enhance the part and hence, the overall

               AC performance. Do not use the same setup (if you play racing

               games, you should know this) on every mission. If you have

               troubles on completing a mission, use a diffrent setup. Time

               spent on tuning your AC is worth spending than retrying the

               mission over and over again.





PARTS --       You can change individual parts on your AC, to improve overall

               performance. You need to purchase them first before you can

               equip them. Take note of the weight limit of your AC. Overall

               weight is determined by the legs while the arms weight is

               determined by the core. An overweight AC can still fight,

               however boost, jump and mobility drastically. SO, you can't

               just equip your AC with some really cool heavy arms without

               sacrificing some attributes.



               -Optional parts improve your stats and gives additional

               abilities, purchase them whenever you can. They use up slots,

               and the number of slots depends on the core currently equipped.



               -You unlock additional parts by defeating VR ARENA opponents

               and completing specific story missions.



               -Take note of your energy level and cooling. Energy weapons

               consumes some of your energy level when firing rounds, using

               your boost, laser blade, and some particular backup weapons

               and extensions. Also, if your AC's cooling system is not good,

               its easy for it to overheat thus causing energy drop as well.

               Its recommended to balance these two.



BATTLE --      Always be on the move. Staying still will make you an easy

               target and could end the battle quickly.



               Certain tactics apply on the specific battle terrain.



VR TEST ARENA  Whenever you equip a new part or try a diffrent setup, test your

               AC first on the test arena. Its the best way to hone your AC's

               overall performance by testing the diffrent modes available.



               Its a great place to test your piloting skills (which you will

               really gonna need)



INFORMATION -- DO check any new emails and world events notifications you get

               after every mission. These will give you all needed info on

               what's currently happening the game's timeframe. (with the

               exception of the same redundant emails you'll get when you're

               repeating missions)





ENEMY AC AI's  No matter how good your setup maybe, the enemy AI is designed

               to be tuned with a setup that is against yours. Example, if

               your AC is a heavyweight biped with low mobility, your enemies

               will use lighter and faster ACs to frustrate you. In these

               scenarios is where your AC piloting skills are tested. So,

               make sure that you have a fairly well-rounded AC to the test.



               Another thing to note is the OP-I part EXCLUSIVE only to enemy

               Ravens. There is NO way to obtain to part unfortunately. This

               part allows enemy Ravens to fire back weapons without any

               restrictions. (which gives them rather innate advantage of using

               back weapons while hovering accross the field)



RANKING --     To obtain an S rank on a mission, consider the following

               factors:





               TIME  -- how quick you finish the mission



               COSTS -- the repair and ammo cost needed after the mission



               REMAINING AP -- remaining AP of the AC



               PARTS BROKEN -- deduction when a part is broken



               ACCURACY --  rating of how many shots are fired vs shots that

                            landed.              



               Keep in mind that some parts needs to be unlocked by obtaining

               an S rank in the mission. S ranking a mission may vary in

               difficulty of course.



HANGAR UNITS --  Though these sub weapons give additional weight and drain,

                 they can be pretty useful when your main weapon runs out of

                 ammo. In any case that the main weapon is out of ammo, DROP

                 it. This will unload some weight and enable you to use the

                 hangar unit equipped. You can use this as long as your setup

                 allows you to do so.



EXPLOSION DAMAGE After defeating an enemy AC/MT or just simply stomping over

                 vehicles, move away from them. The explosion can cause damage

                 to your AC.



MAP         --   Make good use of it. Green dots are your allies. The yellow

                 line around the mission area is your warning and the red line

                 when crossed completely leaves the area and fails the mission.



                 Enemies are color coded based on elevation. Blue dot is for

                 enemies on higher ground, Red for the same level and Yellow

                 for lower-ground enemies.

[WALKTHROUGH]

There are six diffrent endings and end bosses. I will indicate wether the

mission is EASY, NORMAL, HARD, VERY HARD. Missions will be based on the

time frame they occur. Also, there are hidden parts located in the mission

areas. I will try to describe thier location as clear as I can. Also, note

that there are other missions not covered by any of the paths. You need to

restart your game to get to them. I suggest taking either Jack-0 and

Pulverizer 1. There are lesser hard missions and you can get used to the

actual controls (for newbs) and gain enough credits to upgrade parts. Not

to mention the parts you'll acquire while completing the path. The paths are

named after the final bosses you'll encounter. There are also some stray

mission requests not basically covered by any paths.

As you finish the routes, you will be able to view diffrent ending movies

during the credits screen. Not much, just wanna mention it. Just use the

SUMMARY: Involves attacking a poorly defended military installation. The reward

         will be based on the results (damage inflicted)



ENEMIES: ZEKUH, soldiers





EASY: Destroy everything you see and can lock unto. Tents and trucks can be

run over. You can just blade the beams and inside the building. Choppers

will arrive soon, just shoot them down until time runs out.





PART(S): WH05M-SYLPH (RARM)



     --  Inside the crate on the 2nd level of the unfinished building.

ELIMINATE INTRUDERS [0800B]



Requester: Vertex

Operation Area: Old Nire Industrial Area

Objective: Eliminate the intruders

Reward: 60,000c

Actual Time: 08:03



SUMMARY: An unknown force invaded the Industrial Area of Circ-City. Although

         small in number, they need to be dealt with firmly. Eliminate all

         intruders.



ENEMIES: MT08-OSTRICH, CR-MT85M



EASY: Another easy mission. Boost towards the first Ostrich and destroy it.

Now head right and eliminate the other two targets. Reinforcements will arrive

from your starting position. Head back and intercept them. Shoot them as you

near them then just use your laser blade to kill them quickly.





PART(S): RASETSU



      -- From your starting position, turn back and jump in the arch above the

         large hatch. I recommend just tracing this back after defeating the

         the Ostrichs since you will fail the mission if they escape. If you

         can get the weapon quickly, then it should be not a problem.

DISTRIBUTION CENTER RECON [0800C]



Requester: Alliance Headquarters

Operation Area: Diorgan Distribution Center

Objective: Investigate the enemy facility.

Reward: 136,000c

Actual Time: 08:20





SUMMARY: An Alliance facility has been overrun. You will be sent to conduct a

         reconnaisance. Feel free to eliminate enemy targets



ENEMIES: CR-MT77M, CR-MT83RS



VERY HARD: If this is your first mission then good luck. A starter AC is no

match for him no matter how good your piloting skills are. Take note of the

dual LX cannons in his back. These are really powerful pair of laser cannons

that can break parts easily. Thundestrike is a killer machine in close combat

and in your current situation, it would be best to avoid him for your first

path. I would recommend to deal with him after you beaten at least one or two

paths, so that you can have better paths and overall AC performance.





HARD: Avoid fighting him in close combat. You need to have good mobility here.

A lightweight leg and arm would do. Tune energy defense for the head,core and

leg part to max, aim accuracy for the arm, booster heat for booster, normal

cooling for the radiator and energy output for the generator.



For an FCS, I recommend using the VOLUTE 2. And equipping dual weapons will,

preferably SHADE (my favorite) and GAST. Choose your optional parts for

higher defense, stability and increasing sight lock.

      Bolt initially)

ESCORT ALLIED MT [1000A]



Requester: Independent Warlord

Operation Area: Hordess Mining Site

Objective: Escort MT ally to safety.

Reward: 80,000c

Actual Time: 10:01





SUMMARY: An MT squad has been sent by an Independent warlord and is trapped

         in the site. They need help on escorting one of thier MT's to safety.



Enemies: U03M-TERMITE  





EASY: You need to escort the MT to the tunnel's end. Just stay close to your

target since Termites crawl down from the open areas after you passed them.

Your lase blade should be powerful enough to kill them in one hit and also

avoid friendly fire. On the tunnel's end, the last swarm of termites will crawl

down from the mountainside, just get rid of them to finish the mission.

ACQUIRE THE COMMODITY [1000B]



Requester: Jack-O

Operation Area: Hordess Mining Site

Objective: Acquire the commodity.

Reward: 0c

Actual Time: 10:18





SUMMARY: Jack-0 requests you to get the commodity promised by a warlord.



ENEMIES: MT08H/M-OSTRICH, CR-MT98G, CR-MT85B





NORMAL:  Destroy the MT's you encounter. On the end of the tunnel you will face

an AC...





Start the battle by entering the tunnel. To avoid loss of AP, play hide and

seek with him. Peek a bit from the tunnel and hit him with you weapon as soon

as you get a lock on. A GERYON cannon is recommended for fair range. Just

repeat the steps to win.

SUMMARY: This AC has been a thorn for Vertex for quite sometime now. You need

         to deal with her to bring a serious blow to Alliance's ranks.

VERY HARD: You will have a hard time if this is your starting path. This AC is

a hover type which gives her mobility, making it easier for her to evade your

shots and land successful hits on you. Not to mention that there a couple of

ZEKUH choppers above that adds frustration since they keep on tracking you

with thier machine guns. Oh, I forgot to mention that she is utilizing an

OB core, enabling her to overboost to safety and get into good shooting

position.



You need to be really good on evading missiles. She got a lot of them. You need

to have a setup that deals with mobility and some solid shell defense. Not to

mention a wide FCS. She doesnt fly that much so just keep pace with her.



You need to tune max cooling for head, core, legs and radiator. Max the booster

speed, then condensor capacity for the generator. Remember to concentrate on

her, ignore the choppers for the meantime.



She has a reloadable WYRM sniper rifle to take you out adistance and a PIXIE2

machine gun for close combat. It is recommended to equip dual weapons since it

is nearly impossible to blade her. If you confront her for the first time,

then I recommend doing your best and if you can't beat her still, try beating

an easier path.



Just don't stand still and eat up those missiles.

(VERY) VERY HARD: As indicated above you will face two ACs. But fortunately not

at the same time. You will face them one at a time but hey, it still bad news.

I wouldnt recommend this path for your first playthrough.



Try tuning your head, core, legs and radiator to max cooling, accuracy for the

arms, booster heat for the booster and energy output for the generator.

Again, mobility is needed here. You may want to equip some decoy pods and some

missiles. For the FCS, use the VOLUTE2 since it has a good lock-on time. You

need to beat these guys in a damage race.



Genubi is a reversed-legged bipe that has a Linear rifle (that has fair amount

of knockback power) and a sniper rifle. He also have some micro-missiles that

can be avoided by using buildings for cover.



One weakness of Genubi is that he needs to stop to fire his linear or sniper

rifle. You have a split-second to react and evade the shot, giving you an open

shot to hit him. He can be annoying since he loves to leap around the place.

The structures around you can be either helpful or not. Its good to have a

mobile AC here since you will need to do a lot of boosting around.





After defeating him, you will have another cutscene. If you're almost dead

when you reach this point, consider yourself dead with... Rim Fire.





This Quad is equipped with dual FINGERS. This guy can actually fly while

raining a thousand bullets at you. Your best bet is to lure him between/near

the buildings so that you can have more chances to hit him. Most of the time,

he will get stuck but will stay there. Try not to get caught yourself. Also,

the SYLPH back cannons he has actually has can add more threat to you. Even if

its not that powerful, its a fair addition to his arsenal.



DO NOT FIGHT THIS BOSS IN CLOSE COMBAT. The FINGERS can chip away a lot of HP

in a really fast speed. Stay away from him and use decoy pads or missiles as

needed.



Good Luck. If not, just plan your revenge after you finish at least one path.

This AC is tank-legged would mean cannon restrictions will be cancelled. You

need to look out for his grenade launchers since not only they stun but also

deal a great deal of heat stress. Although he CAN dodge, he's still a lot

slower compared to the other ACs you have fought or will be fought.



If you notice his arsenal is more on upclose, solid attack damage. So you can

use your LX to bring him down.

facing one of the toughest pilots. Your allies will help you out but do not

expect them to hold off Vigilance on thier own.



For additional distraction, a solid EO core would be good. Not to mention

maxing out the cooling of head, core, arms and legs (standard vs AC setup),

energy output for the generator, normal cooling for the radiator, booster heat

for the booster.



By this time, you should know how to do a "bunny hop" (jumping while strafing)

and firing your weapons at the same time. Usually I tend to push 3 buttons at

the same time (I'm more efficient with the other control type)



Remember to be aggressive in this one. Even a good pilot will have a hard time

dealing with 3 opponents at the same time. Take note also that Triturate is

not using a standard arm but rather laser arms that deal intensive heat stress.

Not to mention the linear gun that can is really accurate and high stun.

and landing successful, much needed hits. Remember that one mistake and all

3 of them can drain your AP fast. The Owls are easy targets so take them out

first to reduce the ECM field.



For your setup, max the VS ECM tuning for the head, energy defense for the

core, arms and legs. Use the standard tuning for the generator and radiator.



Caspian also utilizes some EOs paired with GAST AND SHADE(2?). Since he is

slow moving, getting up close and scoring a few solid hits in his face should

be somewhat easy. Just keep on pounding him (and avoid getting pounded

yourself) and the battle will end.



Again, if you have troubles on defeating this one, practice more.

Since hover legs have lower overall weight capacity, you may want to change

your core and arms to something lighter. Just tune the WALRUS' cooling to max.

Have max cooling for your head, arms and core; energy output for the generator.

I recommend equipping a blade here and just use a normal D rifle.



The first part of the mission seemed to be easy. But after shooting down the

ZEKUH choppers, you will face Wanton Busker and his AC GAMBIT.





VS. AC GAMBIT



This AC is designed for long-ranged combat. He WILL stay in the waters, with

almost the same movement patterns. Since you're using the same hover legs,

you will have an advantage of getting close to him and chip his AP away.

The real annoyances will be the orbit weapons. His sniper rifle and handgun

wouldnt be much of a trouble since you will gonna get busy with your blade.





After killing him, his comrade will arrive during a cutscene. Your 2nd, tougher

part of the mission starts. He has dual sniper rifles and some missile launchers

that can be evaded effeciently.



Close combat is your best chance to win. He is fast so dont expect to blade

him. But you can harass him if you have missile subweapons, specially micros.

Just keep on the offensive and he should go down.



VS. AC SUDDEN DROP



Another AC built for speed, evasion and long range combat. Avoid going too far

from him since he can chip you AP quickly. Vola-Volant loves to jump while

shooting. And also, there are some instances that he will just stand still.

Take the oppurtunity to score some sure hits. You can do that as well when he

is in midair.



This is really one of the really hard missions so its just normal to try it a

few times before winning.

As soon as the mission starts, Mumu will intercept you. METIS is not

that tough if you already defeated several much harder ACs before her. She may

be fast and agile but that's the tradeoff for her low defense. She has a

parrying blade RASETSU that is hard to land but deals awfully lot damage and

heat stress when it connects. Just make sure that you take care of her fast

since another AC is already on its way.



Dual weapons, preferably machine guns and an EO core should deal with her

quickly. Once done, get ready for Cerberus Garm





VS. NIFLHEIM



He has RPX large rockets, armed with Shade and CR-WH01HP handgun. Large

rockets as you know it, packs a punch so avoid getting hit by it. The shade

rifle has really good damage potential but if you prefer to use an CR-WBW98LX

cannon to deal with him, it should end the battle quickly. Just keep moving

since Garm's subweapons takes time to lock on.



Make sure that you destroy all the transport trucks and don't let any of them

reach the other end of the tunnel. If things get tough, you can just head to

the escape point indicated in the map.

VERY HARD: The grenade gun wielding T98Gs are hard to down not to mention that

thier weapons can burn your AC to overheat. After a while, another enemy AC

appears.

Machine gun, grenade gun and EO core. Imagine those variety of weapons pounding

you. You need to equip your own EO core, set max shell defense for your head,

arms and legs. Equip dual weapons and for back weapons, equip something that

will provide addtional firepower. He moves a lot just like other mobile ACs.

Stay on your feet and just shoot your weapons as soon as you get a lock on.

If you defeated several ACs before him, you should find him less threatening.

However that doesnt change the fact that he is still dangerous so dont let your

guard down.

SUMMARY: Mission issued directly by Evangel. It involves investigating an

         unknown force in the Garav Desert. He prefers not to go alone.





VERY HARD: Similar to the "Recover Cargo" mission request, you'll be back in

same area infested with annoying moles. You and Evangel will fight side by

side. I advise just let him waste his ammo against the Moles, while you avoid

getting hit. As soon as the last mole is destroyed, he will turn on you and

open fire.





VS. AC ORACLE





Behold the wielder of linear guns, Evangel. Linear guns are my favorite since

thier projectile look cool, not to mention decent attack power and good stun

effect. But that's bad news on your end. Oracle is a very agile AC and unless

you can keep up with him, most likely you'll eat up most of the linear blasts.

He excels in close range combat and is very accurate.



One of his dealiest weapons is the MOONLIGHT blade. It has really excellent

range and he is well-versed in using the blade so watch out. Hopefully, his

ammo should be low now and his EO will not be a factor anymore.



Keep on moving and stay offensive. Good thing is that after dealing a certain

amount of damage to Evangel, the battle ends. He will leave the area.

blade should suffice.



Locate all the enemies and eliminate the enemy patrols you find along the way.

Just avoid destroying the defense targets accidentally. Clear the area of

enemies and the mission should end.

you have cleared several missions in this facility, the whole place should

be familiar. Just check your map every so often to plan the shortest route.

Take out a few enemies blocking your path. Mission completes after disabling

all charges.

NORMAL: Equip a sniper rifle, a strong blade (ELF3) and some backup weapons.

The ECM devices are easy to destroy so kill every enemy you see as fast as

possible. A ND FCS with excellent lock speed is recommended to take out targets

adistance and fast.



Take out airborne enemies with the rifle and just blade the larger MTs. It

would normally take 1-2 slashes to take them out. You can use whatever setup

that will work for you as long as you consider long ranged and fast attacks.

SUMMARY: Mission request involves taking out the ECM devices deployed by the

         Alliance. Operations has been disrupted for some time now because

         of them.

NORMAL: You only need to destroy four ECM trucks. They are not indicated on the

radar so you need to manually find them. Thier locations, from your starting

position would be:



1. inside the dome, northwest corner behind the small pyramid

2. inside the dome, southeast corner

3. outside the dome, on the eastern side

4. outside the dome, on the northwest corner, near the mission line.



If you take time, reinforcements will arrive. It will start as a small

deployment of Spores and 86FVs. Then Bats will be deployed. Try to destroy

3 of the targets but save one for the meantime. Kill some reinforcements to

get an S.

SUMMARY: Bioweapons are deployed via underground tunnel to attack the Vertex

ENEMIES: AMIDAs





NORMAL:  There wil be multiple Amidas here which could be a problem if you get

stuck or dont get rid of them immediately. Just use a long range FCS to strike

them adistance or just blade them when in range.



Equip a head with bio-sensor and night vision capabilities. A C range rifle

will do the trick. Remember that you can't see them adistance so to prevent

unnecessary AP loss, the long range FCS should help a lot here.



Just keep on killing targets until you clear the area.

SUMMARY: Mission request involves recapturing an enemy occupied Alliance

         facility.

VERY HARD: Advance slowly while taking out the enemies along the way. You may

want to avoid unnecessary damage since you will be facing an AC in the end of

the path.



Vs. AC PINCH BEAK





First, use the buildings as your cover. You need to take out those Walnut

grenadiers stationed on the walls. They will make the AC fight harder if you

let them live. Mollycoddle uses an LB3 blade when you get close to him but will

also deploy his rifle and back cannons if you go mid-range or far from him.



So, that means you need to win a damage race. This battle is really hard since

he uses his weapons well and is accurate in most of his shots. Luring him to

the buildings will give you breathing space, just don't get stuck and be an

easy target.



As long as you're mobile and you can lock on him fast, you'll definitely land

more shots and win the battle eventually. Good luck!

PROTECT REACTOR CORE [2000A]

SUMMARY: The Alliance plans an assault the power plant using unmanned units.

         They probably want to reach the core by entering through the exhaust

         vents. Prevent the enemies from reaching thier objectives.



ENEMIES: U05-FLEA





EASY: You need to equip only dual sniper rifles with B+ range, a ND FCS with

fast lock-on time, and/or any back units or head that gives additional radar

range. Also, equip optional parts that increase sight lock and radar range if

possible.



From your starting posistion, head straight until you reach the corner of the

mission area, by the wall. In this position, make sure that you can see both

towers.

There are already 2-3 targets on the first tower. You dont really need to move

too much, you just need to move your sight lock. Scan the tower by moving the

sight lock up and down. The Fleas can be taken out with one sniper shot. If

your FCS and range is long enough, you should be able to get a lockon to the

position I mentioned. Alternately scan both towers to prevent any targets from

reaching the vents.



Destroy the 5-6 waves of fleas and the mission completes.

PREVENT REACTOR MELTDOWN [2000B]

SUMMARY: Intruders have breached the facility and the reactor is reaching

         critical levels. Secure the area to prevent the reactor from meltdown.



ENEMIES: AMIDA, flying AMIDA, U05-FLEA





NORMAL: You need to tune max cooling of your main parts, you'll really need it.

Also, if you a SAISUI extension available, equip it. This will recharge lost

energy.



Clear the enemies you encounter along the path. The real annoyance would be the

flying AMIDAs. Avoid rushing into open spaces since most probably they contain

these flying  critters. You can just blade the Fleas and Amidas. You need to

destroy the targets. As soon as you reach the lower levels where the circuit

breakers are located, the temperature will start to rise rapidly. Quickly find

the targets and destroy them. If your energy level is critically low and

activate the SAISUI to recover it. This should give you more time to lower the

temperature levels.



PART(S): KONGOH

         --after destroying the first two targets, look for an open shaft by

         the ceiling. Its in the top room, by the door. If you can destroy all

         targets first then quickly grab the part, that would be better since

         boosting all the way up consumes much needed energy with the area in

         heat is not really recommended.

        Get rid of the owls after downing the spores. Just be careful when

        facing the Starlings. They jump high, so fire only when they're on the

        ground.

On your way out, an enemy AC will attack you.





VS. PANZER MESSIAH



His AC is composed primarily of old generation parts with some little upgrades.

Just ignore him and escape. Mission completes.

On your way out, an enemy AC will attack you.





VS. PANZER MESSIAH



His AC is composed primarily of old generation parts with some little upgrades.

You shouldn't have much problem with him. He uses an LB2 blade when he gets the

chance and the area is somewhat confined so take care not to take too much hit

from him.



After defeating G. Faust, head back to the entrance and a cutscene occurs.





VS. TANK PULVERIZER





All Pulverizers are dangerous, and this one is no diffrent. He has the highest

defense however and the slowest. Use this weakness to pummel him from adistance

using micromissiles and/or EOs. Still watch out for the dual plasma blasts and

the Moonlight blades this enemy utilizes. Defeat the Pulverizer to end the

mission

as a high energy defense tuning. Equipping dual weapons will help you in the

offensive. Just keep moving, side step/bunny hop/ hover while strafing and

targetting him. Deploy the EOs early in the battle to soften Bolt up. You need

to have an agile AC to keep up with him and about eating everything that he

throws at you.



By all means avoid getting hit by the LX. It can chip a whole lot of AP and

can also break a part, most of the time the core or the arms. As long as most

of your shots land successfully, you should take him down in a while.

PROTECT WARLORD'S FORCES [2200D]

SUMMARY: No data available from the client, possibly from a warlord. Mission

         request involves protecting the remaining forces in the Hordess Mining

         site from an Alliance attack. The Alliance thinks that they are

         harboring Evangel which they do not.

NORMAL: One annoying thing to look up for is that the defense targets you're

supposed to be protecting is SO fragile. A couple of shots is enough to turn

them to scrap metal. There are three groups you should be protecting. Mission

fails when all defense targets are destroyed.



Just use a rifle against the Jellyfishes and blade for the Bats. You really

need to kill the enemies quickly. An EO core and a D+ attack weapon will help.

The last wave is somewhat hard since they will appear on your starting point,

which will definitely destroy two of your Centaur allies there. The Bats will

always go after the defense targets and tend to ignore you so if you failed

the mission once, just anticipate where the enemies will appear.

ELIMINATE ZINAIDA [2200E]

Objective: Destroy AC Fascinator

HARD: This will be your battle against Zinaida without any interference. But,

she is really more an aerial fighter. FASCINATOR is a lightweight AC with

superb agility and mobility for a biped. During battle, her common tactic is

to fly directly almost above you while firing and strafing. This makes it

harder to hit her and evade most of her attacks. Her PIXIE machine gun has a

lot of ammo and although its damage is not that powerful it is really accurate.



She will deploy her missiles only when she runs out of machine gun ammo. And

also she almost never uses her blade. You should keep up with her agility and

mobility by using a setup built for the same categories. Use handguns with

power and range equivalent of a rifle as your main weapons. Dual weapons is a

must, not to mention tracking micromissiles. Just like your initial fight with

Evangel, you just need to bring Zinaida's AP to certain amount and the battle

automatically ends.

SUMMARY: A large airborne invasion fleet has been deployed by the Alliance to

         attack Circ-City, Vertex requests your assistance on intecepting them

         on an advanced location.



ENEMIES: C06-STORK, CR-A82, GUSHAWK, MT09E-OWL





NORMAL: Just like your normal ground-to-air missions, you should have a ND FCS

with fast lock time. Rechargable EO's (Gaea core) will definitely help. You

may equip a C+ attack and range sniper rifle and a SHADE, GAST, or SPECTER on

the other hand. You can also include micromissiles as your back weapons to

bring down the larger birds quick. Just equip also the optional parts the

increase sight lock, radar range and lock on cancellation pulses.



There would be several waves here and the STORK transport planes drops a couple

of OWL ECM MTs if you didnt shot them down in time. Get rid of them fast.



The GUSHAWKS are F22-like fighters that are not that fast to hit and take down

fortunately. One or two shots should suffice to shot them down. And also, the

A82 bombers may take more hits before getting destroyed.



Make sure that none of the enemies get past your mission area or at least try

to prevent too many to targets to get through.

to get a better chance to lock this enemy. Just apply the normal vs AC tactics

you've learned during the past AC battles.

vs BULLET LIFE



Apparently, Evangel is not here and you'll need to defeat Rim Fire instead.

If you defeated him during the one of the earlier easier paths, you should know

the tactics. If not, try to stay away from him. He loves to bunny hop while

showering you with Finger machine gun bullets and micromissiles. Do not battle

him up close. You can lure him behind the buildings but careful not to get

stuck yourself.



Outdamage him using dual weapons while bunny hopping. This will ensure you'll

not gonna eat all those bullets and be a scrap metal yourself.

NORMAL: If you want to finish this mission quickly, fly to the other side of

        the bridge, and get rid of the MTs blocking your path. You may want to

        wait for the train inside the tunnel, deploy your RPX and AIM it

        towards the train's direction. The RPX deals massive damage when it

        connects but has really poor firing interval. Just keep on firing

        your LARM weapon and the RPX to immediately destroy the train.





PART(S): CR-WH01HP (R)

         -- S rank the mission. Equip dual weapons or an ELF3 blade, EO core,

         and an RPX large rocket back unit. You need to defeat EVERY single

         enemy here, QUICKLY. You will have approximiately 10-15 seconds before

         the train arrives, and another 6-9 seconds before it reaches the other

         end of the tunnel and escapes.

HARD: You need to get to the elevator before the time runs out. Avoid

unnecessary battles to reach the first objective quickly. Upon reaching the

elevator, you will need to head outside and destroy the four generators. But

be warned, there are a lot of enemies waiting here. Defeat all of them then

just destroy the generators to complete mission.





PART(S): LN01-SEAL

         -- S- rank the mission; Aside from the main generators, destroy the

         small generators shown during the briefing. Take out enemies along the

         way, while evading as much AP loss as possible. Destroy the main

         generators then the remaining enemies. Its really hard to S this

         mission so its alright to get frustrated.

ENEMIES: QUAD-LEG PULVERIZER



HARD: Pulverizers are tough as they can be and this one is no diffrent. They

have similar attacks, such as dual plasma blasts and 2-3 Moonlight laser blade

arms that deals MASSIVE damage. The battle area is large which will give you

much needed breathing space. However, like most tough units, Pulverizers are

somewhat weak vs micromissiles. Note the you will always have a second to

respond when the pulverizer deploys its blades. Immediately boost away to avoid

getting slashed. You can hide behind the buildings to evade the plasma bursts.

Just stay mobile, you will most likely land more hits than he do. Defeat him

to complete mission.

SUMMARY: Mission request involves levelling a secret research facility to

         the ground. Alliance intel suggests that illegal bioweapons research

         has been ongoing.





ENEMIES: CR-MT77RO, flying AMIDA





HARD: Defeat the enemy MTs, go to the elevator. Take out the flyers before

they take chunks of your AP. Also, check out your location everytime you set

the charges to plan your escape route. After planting the final charge, a timer

activates and you need to escape the facility within less than 3 minutes.

When you reach the open area, an enemy AC will ambush you. Here you can choose

wether you leave the place or fight.





VS AC METIS





Mumu is rather fragile but quick. Several solid direct hits should take out

her Ac in no time. Just deploy the EOs and just strafe-jump while firing.

Her parrying blade is not that threatening as long as you move around, and her

shotgun is not that effective in long range combat either.



Just make sure that the battle duration does not reach the 45-50 second

threshold, to have time allowance to reach the escape point.

SUMMARY: Mission request involves retrieving important research material from

the facility. Client is a group of Kisaragi scientist still loyal to the old

corporation.



ENEMIES: U03M-TERMITE, CR-MT85M, flying AMIDA





HARD: This mission requires speed and coordination. The annoyances here are the

flying AMIDAS; they fire rapid pulse blasts and they usually hover close to you

making them harder to it... not to mention that they eat your AP fast.



Get high energy defense parts and tuning. Equip an EO core, bio-sensor and

automap head, and a fairly strong weapon. The MTs doesnt pose much resistance

and the fact that the Amidas regenerate for some time is awful.



Take the elevator to start mission. After exiting the elevator, note that there

are waiting flyers ahead. So, have your weapon ready, turn around, boost

backwards so that you will be able to lock on the bugs earlier.



After getting rid of the Amidas, head to the topmost terminal. You will need to

escape this place in a very small amount of time so get used to the area by

checking the map every so often. After accessing the last terminal, the

facility will initiate a self-destruct sequence and you need to leave the area.



Bad news is you really have limited time so don't waste it. More bad news is

that enemies will block your path. Just fight your way to the escape point

before time runs out.

         is really hard because of the Amida flyers. Just use the setup and

         tuning recommended and just try again if needed)

SUMMARY: An alliance force has positioned already to launch a massive attack

against Vertex HQ. You are requested to launch a preemptive strike against

them to halt thier advance towards Circ-City. The type and number of the

force is unknown, proceed with caution.



ENEMIES: 86FV, soldiers, MT-Leviathan



HARD:  Equip a micromissile launcher and a radar back unit. You need to have a

good VS ECM rating here. Also, just equip a normal blade and rifle. I recommend

using the E02RM-GAR extension. Tune the head to max VS ECM, max aim accuracy

for the arm, cooling for the legs, core and radiator. A long range FCS with

S grade locktime is a must.





The initial set of enemies are just easy. Just save your ammo with them by

slashing or stomping them. When the enemy soldiers start talking, find a

place to hide for the meantime.



The alliance will deploy thier secret weapon in an attempt to turn the tide of

war... the LEVIATHAN.





VS. MT LEVIATHAN





Thank goodness this is not an AC. But that doesnt lower the threat against this

biggie. Its airborne and well armed. It can repel rounds from most weapons, and

the fact it fires missile salvoes and high energy pulse blasts. Good thing,

this is not an open area, so the missiles can be warded off by the pyramids and

the dome itself.



Like most large and thick shelled enemies, they lack missile defense. That is

when micromissiles come in. Although they take some time to lock on, just track

the Leviathan's movement from adistance and when its clear, fire away. Just

remember to get out of its way since it will fire pulse blasts towards you will

can break parts in a few direct hits. Its not that fast so the micromissiles

will definitely hit its target without any problems.



Just repeat the steps and you shoule be able to bring this down on the first

try.

SUMMARY: The alliance has sent an AC to attack. Intercept the AC and destroy

it if neccessary.





ENEMY: AC ORACLE





VERY HARD: This enemy is tough. He is deadly accurate and his linear weapons

stuns a lot. Not to mention that after recovering from a stun, he will rush

and blade you. The area has a lot of spots you can use as cover but most likely

you will still be pummeled if you're not careful. Linear weapons also can break

parts with a few direct hits.



He is good in midrange but deadly in close range. So, for better chances, you

need to use orbit weapons. Use an EO and and orbit weapon (HARPY, HARPY2) and

some fairly accurate arm weapons. Equip dual weapons here since you wont be

able to use your laser blade even if you want to. Handguns would be a nice

sub for blades.



He seldomly deploys his backcannon but remain cautious. Just like other ACs

before him, he is good in jump-strafing or bunny hopping. You need to master

the same skill to keep it up with him. Otherwise, you'll be easy picking.



Applying the tactics mentioned, you should be able to defeat him. I personally

took 5 attempts and a couple of hours experimenting with diffrent tunings and

setup before I managed to beat him.

desert to halt thier advance.



ENEMIES: MT08M-OSTRICH, CR-MT9107LM, SPORE, QUAD PULVERIZER





VERY HARD: The hard part here is the actual visibility. A long range FCS will

be helpful partnered with improved radar range. Take care of the MTs and just

be careful when clearing the area since the enemies may seem to just appear

out of nowhere. Scan your horizons first to check the nearest enemy location.

Once the enemies are cleared up, a new challenger appears.



VS. QUAD PULVERIZER



If you encountered a pulverizer before, you already know how dangerous and

deadly they are. And also their shared weakness. The dual pulse blast must be

evaded as much as possible and especially the MOONLIGHT blades.



Again, micromissiles are your best bet here. You need to get a clear, red

lock-on to ensure that the missiles will hit. 5-7 sets of micros partnered with

accurate weapon arms will take this enemy down.

HARD: You need to deal with the ECM interference in the whole mission. To

counter its effects, just tune your head to max VS ECM and equip a back unit

that further improves VS ECM rating.



Take care of the enemy MTs. After defeating them, Jack-0 will arrive... to

battle.





VS. FOXEYE



Good thing his own FCS and radar is jammed here. He has no special moves or

setup we should look out for but do not expect an easy fight here nevertheless.

His arm weapons are strong but can be anticipated adistance.



If your VS ECM rating is 450+ then you should be able to get more accurate

lock-ons. Just do the standard vs AC tactics and you should be able to defeat

him.



After his HP goes down to a certain level, the battle will end and he will

leave the area. Mission completes.

SUMMARY: Circ-City's defenses are giving the Allied forces a hard time to get

through. Destroy the energy pods powering the massive railguns installed within

HARD: Run over the foot soldiers. The target should be indicated on the map.

The railguns are dangerous themselves so keep on moving while advancing.

Destroy the ground targets and the reinforcements. The energy pods are beside

the railguns themselves. Aim and destroy the targets or just boost up then

slash it. After that, Crow arrives and you got yourself another AC battle.

Good thing is that you can either escape or battle Crow. Just head to the

escape point. You will miss the AC part though.





Vs. SIGHT HAWK





You need to stay mobile here. You will need to backboost or bunny hop a lot.

Since the area is somewhat confined, both of your movement is restricted.

Just keep on firing and you should outdamage him. Head to the escape point

after the battle.

VERY HARD: Or that is how I felt. Sight Hawk has rather low AP and defense

and you should be able to take him down. The most annoying fact is the

limitless KAMIKAZE MTs crashing all over the place, not to mention they chose

you as their target and will keep on homing on you. AND... not only Sight Hawk

is not being hit by the suicide MTs but once a Kamikaze hits you, expect 2-3

more to follow. AND...they do make your AC stagger, leave high heat and break parts early. You

are also a free target for Crow while you are being hit by the Mts.



Anticipating them using the map would give you a chance to evade but certainly,

you need to divide your attention on fighting Sight Hawk.  There really is no

perfect setup to assist you with this one, but above average piloting skills

and a lot of luck.



Tune cooling to max for your head, core, legs and radiator. Aiming accuracy for

arms, booster heat for booster, condenser capacity for the generator.



A solid EO core would be helpful on this one, and also dual rifles. You will

need to make this battle quick so a lighweight setup should suffice since you

need to move a lot here. Just don't stand still even for a second. Keep firing

away and you may achieve victory.

ENEMY: AC HEAVEN'S RAY





VERY HARD: Avoid fighting up close since he loves using the blade up close.

This part of the battle is tough, since you can't move much due to the limited

space. Just keep him on your lock always, as much as possible and avoid getting

stuck when you bunny hop. He sometimes gets stuck himself which opens a window

of oppurtunity for you to score some sure hits. Avoid his tight spread shotgun

since it always have part-breaking and overheating potential. As long as you

attack away from him and apply what you learned here, you should do fine.



If you had a hard time with Jouser, then the mission is not yet over. Meet

the new challenger.





VS. Biped Pulverizer.





This Pulv is the fastest unit you have faced yet. It has three MOONLIGHT arms

that it can deploy while charging towards the enemy. It has rapid blast laser

but it needs to stay still to use it. Just stay away from it, while firing

your micromissiles or orbit cannons away. Also you can cancel its attempt to

fire its laser by hitting it successfully  before unloading and firing the

weapon. Just stay away as much as you could, careful not to get cornered since

it will follow you often. You dont want to lose 1000+ AP in a single hit.



Just be aggressive, so that you can outdamage the Pulv. Mission completes

after downing the enemy.



PART(S): MF04-COWRY

         --Defeat AC HEAVEN'S RAY

ELIMINATE AIRBORNE FORCE [0400D]

Objective: Destroy the enemy's airborne forces

SUMMARY: The Alliance has sent a large airborne fleet in an attempt to level

Vertex's HQ to immediately end the war. Intercept thier fighters.



ENEMIES: GUSHAWK squadrons





HARD: You will face upgraded version of Gushawk squadrons. They are better

armed but you can still down them in one or two shots. The only threat in this

mission is that since they appear in swarms, you need to evade several

missiles all at once.



Just like other Ground-to-Air missions, sniper rifles combined with long ranged

FCS will make your job easier. Also, AMS will help on repelling some of the

missile attacks but don't eat a lot of them.



Just boost away to evade missiles otherwise stand still and keep on shooting

them down adistance.

This part of the battle is tough, since you can't move much due to the limited

space. Just keep him on your lock always, as much as possible and avoid getting

stuck when you bunny hop. He sometimes gets stuck himself which opens a window

SUMMARY: An uknown AC has infltrated the city. Vertex doesnt know what its

capable of but they think that the infiltrator is Evangel. Take him down.





HARD: Behold the wielder of linear guns, Evangel. Linear guns are my favorite

since thier projectile look cool, not to mention decent attack power and good

stun effect. But that's bad news on your end. Oracle is a very agile AC and

unless you can keep up with him, most likely you'll eat up most of the linear

blasts. He excels in close range combat and is very accurate.



One of his dealiest weapons is the MOONLIGHT blade. It has really excellent

range and he is well-versed in using the blade so watch out. But another

deadly weapon has been added to his arsenal, the CR-WH98GL grenade launcher.

One good thing is even if he has dual back units, his mobility has not been

affected at all.



The area is quite large but it doesnt mean that you are safe from his attacks.

He's still as accurate as ever and nevertheless deadly. You need to keep on the

offensive. After damaging him quite a bit, a scene occurs. You need to go down

through the broken vent.



The second part of the mission starts.

Operation Area: Underneath Circ-City

Objective: Destroy the Internecine





You need to destroy the 6 generators powering up this large structure. The

targets cannot be locked into and they fire back. You need to keep on moving

to avoid getting pummeled by several lasers. You can boost up and slash it with

a laser blade or shoot it but since you need to recharge your energy after

jumping up, you may still get hit with thier lasers...



Just work fast on destroying the generators and mission completes.

about the Pulverizer attacks. Pursue him underneath Circ-City and deal with

once and for all.

EASY: This is the easiest final mission. Jack-0 starts the battle with his

left arm broken, not to mention other damages his AC may have suffered.

He is slow and has poor mobility so you shouldnt have too much of a problem

here (compared to all the missions you need to undergo before reaching this

mission) Defeat him and the mission ends.

SUMMARY: There are some hints about something hidden beneath Circ-City. Jack-0

disappeared and they are suspecting he knows something about what's under.

You are requested to investigate the area.





ENEMY: SUPER BIPED PULVERIZER





HARD: When you enter the area, the place may seem empty... until you'll see a

lot of enemies appearing in the radar and homing towards you. There is no place

to hide so you need to move a lot here. You know how frustrating these MTs can

be so move like there's no tomorrow.



Fortunately.. after a minute the bombardment will be over, and a door will

open. Enter the door, and enter the broken shaft after the cutscene.





Second part of the mission starts.

Operation Area: Underneath Circ-City

Objective: Destroy the Pulverizer





Its a biped Pulv that has major enhancements in terms of speed and attack power

(including a new attack and more AP). Note that their weakness is still the

same: micromissiles. The Pulv needs to stand still to execute its major attack

so If your AC is equipped with an EO core, deploy it alongside with Orbit

Cannons, and micros. This should give you a headstart on damaging it.



You may need to move a lot here since this Pulv will always attempt to slash

you to death by rushing towards you. Keep away from it at all times while

firing all you got.





PART(S): YH08-MANTIS

         --S rank the mission; (Its really tough to obtain an S rank here since

         no matter what you do, you'll always lose AP. You just need to avoid

         losing too much AP and missing too much shots)

ENEMY: PULVERIZERs

(VERY) VERY HARD: I sought help for this one also. Taking note of the

Pulverizers' weakness against micros, I just equipped dual micromissile

launchers as back units with large ammo storage. An extension to synch those

missiles will be a good addition as well. Since micromissile launchers are

quite heavy, you need to equip lightweight but fairly powerful weapons as

well. Handguns should suffice yet if you tend to miss many shots, you'll run

out of ammo. You need to boost a lot here since you be against airborne Pulvs

which makes them more agile, dangerous and lethal.





VS. Hover Pulverizer





Upon entering the area, you will see Jack's AC badly damaged. Soon he crumbles

to bits and the camera focuses on the aerial Pulv. And somehow, managed to

inflict damage on it as well.



Take note that this enemy evades in an eyeblink by dashing. Also it will send

orbit cannons to shoot at you (which is invisible, by the way). You will see

the Pulv hovering still when it is about to do that. That is the time also

to get a red lockon for your micromissiles. This will cancel its attack.

Well, I can only describe its basic attack patterns and recommended weapons

but the rest is still up to you.



Cutscene occurs. Enter the broken shaft and the first part of the mission

completes.





SHUTDOWN INTERNECINE (2)

Operation Area: Underneath Circ-City

Objective: Destroy the Internecine





Your misery is far from over. You still need to face another Pulv and is the

strongest variant you have to face yet. It is another airborne Pulv that

resembles a spider maybe but has exceptional offensive capability. After the

scene with Zinaida you will fight it.



It's attacks include:



1. Rapid fire laser rounds, similar to a machine gun, UNAVOIDABLE.

2. Multiple homing lasers powerful but somewhat slow and predictable.

3. Dual plasma bursts.

4. Moonlight slash (most of the time above you and with great heat stress)

5. Pulv encloses itself inside an energy sphere, immune to all kinds of

   attacks then releasing very destructive rays all over the place. Hard to

   avoid and seriously damaging.



Now, it may be godly but it shares the same weakness as the other Pulvs...

micros. Hopefully you should still have quite plenty of them. This enemy has

a lot of AP (probably 10000+ or so) and getting a clean shot without getting

hit is somewhat challenging or almost impossible.



If you're tracking is good and your FCS' locktime is excellent, you should

get a red lock-on within 1 1/2 secs. This should give you ample time to react

whatever the Pulv is throwing at you.



By the time you finished this...hopefully, your AC probably has two arms and

the head severed. Not a good shape to finish a mission but hey, you're a god

if you finished the battle with everything intact! XD

(VERY) VERY HARD:





WHAT'S WITH THE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE AND NECK BREAKING MISSIONS??!!!!





There is no setup I can recommend here basically because I

have problems myself. You need dual weapons using SOLID rounds. You need to

setup your AC mostly for aerial combat to keep up with your enemy. A wide

range sight lock will help achieving better lock ons. Skill on tracking a fast

enemy is a must on this mission.



Set your generator to max EN output, booster heat for the booster and max

cooling for the radiator.



Start the mission by going down the broken shaft. Follow the path and soon

you'll encounter those pesky little suicide MTs coming towards you. They do

follow random patterns although they can be shot down. But generally you will

be inflicted with considerable amount of damage and heat.



Keep advancing (like a madman murmuring "...damn...") until you reah an

intersection on your left. Oops.. you're not safe yet... You need to get pass

those laser lines and the charging Kamikazes...



You need to walk as you cross the corridors of death. This way you can monitor

your path easier. Once you see the shaft leading further down, take it to

begin the next part of the mission.



If you played Evangel's route already, this should be similar. You need to

destroy the 6 generators quickly. They do shoot laser projectiles back so

strafe-boost to destroy all generators. After destroying it, you already

completed...





the second part of the mission. Get ready for the last part.



An AC equipped with a Python rail gun and a NIX with some missile launchers

appears...ZINAIDA!!! Not only her armanents are upgraded but her AC parts are

enhanced as well. (Knowing this fact makes me hate the game or the people

behind the game.. sigh.. sorry for the ranting..)



Alright, common sense kicks in and you know you have to fight the hell out of

her. Having half of your AP gives you a fighting chance. Just dont let her

hit you too many times or all the hard work will be lost.



"Skill on tracking a fast enemy is a must on this mission. " As I mentioned,

Zinaida is pretty much an annoying aerial fighter. She stays in the air a lot,

only lands to recharge a little bit (although I heard that Zinaida's condenser

capability in this battle is INFINITE...geesh). But expect not to go easy on

you. Expect machine gun bullets distracting you while she is charging her

highly-accurate railgun and missiles. The problem here is since she moves a

lot, you will have difficulty getting a clean shot while you get your butt

kicked. The only way is to keep up with her by staying on the move, giving

you chances to land successful shots to her while evading. Try mastering

skill of boost-jumping while having a constant lockon and firing dual weapons

in midair. This will help a lot in surviving this nearly impossible mission.



You will definitely have a problem defeating her. But if you managed to beat

earlier paths and AC bosses, she should pose as a challenge to you.

ENEMIES: GUSHAWK fighters, LEVIATHAN MTs





HARD: You will face several Gushawk fighter squads here. Just equip a Shade2

rifle and long range FCS primarily. Also, you need to equip dual homing micro

missile launchers as your back units. Just evade the missiles they fire and

make sure that you bring down some of them when thier making thier attack

runs. Conserve your missile ammo as much as possible. Use them if you feel

the need though.



After taking down the fighters, you will face massive flying MTs codenamed

"LEVIATHAN". There is two of them and if you faced them before during other

paths, you should know that they have rather low missile defense.



Their main attacks are multiple missiles volleys and pulseblasts if you stayed

nderneath them when they do thier attack runs. Just make sure that you have

a red lockon before releasing your own missiles, make every shot count. DO

concentrate on one MT at a time to make it easier. And alosAfter defeating the large

MTs, another one comes in.





VS LEVIATHAN+



An enchanced version of the first two. It can send more missile swarms which

will keep you busy. Same tactics are applied here but there is a possibility

that you'll be low on ammo. Just give it everything that you have left. Just

make sure that you dont eat all the Leviathan is throwing at you since its

attack has been boosted as well. You can use decoy pods to create a diversion

and have some clean shots. Just repeat the steps mentioned for the first two

MTs and you should emerge victorious here.

VERY, VERY, VERY HARD: You'll be a madman to battle this one. You're a god if

you defeat this Pulv. Nah, Im just exagerrating. But seriously, this mission

is really hard and almost impossible. The pulv you gonna face is the ULTIMATE

version in terms of attack, defense, speed and AP. You gotta get yourself

ready since I can recommend any winning setup here, I apologize.







VS SUPER AERIAL PULVERIZER





This is similar to the aerial pulverizer covered on another mission path. It

has its own AMS (anti-missile system) and fires LX-like laser beams that has

huge blast radius and deal tremendous damage. It usually fires it 5-6 times

per batch. Some of the basic attacks of other pulvs are still retained and

also their weakness to micromissiles. Stat-wise, this Pulv is really hard to

crack.



You will notice that it is charging for its powerful beam attack when it just

stays still and light is forming in its core. You will have split seconds to

react and avoid getting hit by boost-strafing/jumping. One hit from it has

tremendous damage, stun, part-breaking capability, and heat stress. Not to

mention that due to the stun effect, you have almost no time to evade the

remaining shots, which guarantees a quick game over.



Just evade its attacks keep a constant swarm of micros coming in. Make sure

that your shots count since it can evade pretty well, too.

As far as you may have obrserved, the KRSW is one of the most lethal weapons

in the game. Although low in defense and AP, there is always a threat of

Toothpick outdamaging you, killing you quick before you kill him. Use dual

weapons as needed and also an EO core.



Note that this enemy has low stability and weapons with good stun works well

on scoring a few free shots at him.

and annoyance as well. You can stay away, chipping his AP with successful

A very agile and fast unit. To trade off with its exceptional speed is its

low defense ratings. He really exhausts his ammo rather quickly so you

shouldnt have problems taking him down. He may be good at rushing and using

the elf blade sometimes but that's it. He uses the OB function efficiently as

well.



Just remember not to take all he's throwing at you. You can also evade most

of the time during the start of the battle to make him waste his ammo then

just give 'im all you got after that. All in all, he is an easy catch.

defense stats and also some really good loadup. His extension synchs with his

Karura missiles which will definitely give you a hard time. He uses his rifles

quite well, using combinations to keep on the offensive.



There is always a tradeoff for an exceptional rating. Since he has high def

and good weapons, his overall mobility and speed is somewhat restricted. His

stability is also affected as well, so weapons with good stun (linear rifles)

or just plain good close quarters weapons should do the trick. You can always

outmanuever him. Just don't let your guard down since he knows how to use his

weapons well.

pose much of a problem if you have a fast setup. Just laugh at this one.

good thing also is that while charging it, it can be cancelled with a laser

blade attack. He knows that so don't just blindly rush in and attempt to score

a free hit when he is charging his Python.



His AI is good so try you best to keep up with him. If you managed to get this

This tank AC is loaded up with really dangerous arsenal. KRSW for arms and

the deadly LX cannon for the back. Although slow, a single hit from any of

those main killer weapons can deal massive AP loss, not to mention high heat

stress and part breaking potential.



You can try to stay close to him, as long as you dont attack infront. A good

blade should finish him with a few direct strikes. Or, if you choose to stay

far, have a good supply of missiles and just pound him off with that.



Just avoid getting hit too much since his weapons can end the battle quickly.

Low visibility is one of your main problems here. Not to mention that the

enemy is really annoyingly fast. He is really efficient in changing into

diffrent ranges that makes him hard to hit; he can also switch and use weapons

effectively at any range. He lacks missile defense but due to his speed, you

will have a hard time scoring a hit on him.



Your chance of success? You need to switch weapons frequently . Moving a lot

will help to evade his attacks but can also make your targeting tough unless

you really good at tracking fast moving enemies.



Dual weapons, an EO core, lightweight setup and some missiles will help out.

Mostly, it will be your piloting skills (and luck) to beat this guy.

Alright, this guy is a flyer. And, just like the top 4 ACs before him, they

all use OP-I. The dual Gls on his back are deadly accurate in close quarters

and they really stun hard. His energy and solid machine gun rounds eats AP

fast in the same range so avoid getting pegged by those weapons up close. The

area itself is somewhat large and you and your opponent can be both trapped

by the pillars and the upside down pyramids.



The common mistake I observed with agile, flying ACs is that when they get

cornered in a tight location, they just tend to boost there. That happens to

Daemon most of the time, as long as you keep distance from him. Just use a

fast middle-weight setup that can match his speed. You can even copy his

primary parts setup if you  want to. (From head to radiator) The thing is, you

can definitely equip stronger weapons on both arms.



Equip optional parts that improve solid and energy defense, stability

primarily. Don't forget to tune your individual parts as well.
