A pirate’s life isn’t always plain sailing. Take the issue with Sea of Thieves missing gold, for instance. No, an eyepatched rival hasn’t plundered your booty; there’s actually a fairly simple fix to this error. So, if you’re wondering where your well-earned treasure has gone, here’s how to deal with missing gold in Sea of Thieves.
Sea of Thieves Missing Gold: How to Fix Missing Gold
You’re probably not going to want to hear this – but waiting is your best option. Rare has confirmed that they’re aware of the problem and, as of the most recent update on their official site, believe the issue has been resolved.
If you haven’t logged on in a few days, there’s a better-than-good chance that your gold and reputation you should’ve earned when cashing in rewards has now gone through.
However, should your gold still be missing then your best bet is to raise a support ticket over at the Sea of Thieves support page and, again, be patient while the technical team sort through the data. The developers do, however, expect all problems to have been sorted by the weekend of April 8-April 9.
Sea of Thieves Missing Gold: Locked Achievements
If you’ve yet to receive achievements relating to Sea of Thieves missing gold or other activities, there’s a very good reason for that (and one you may have missed). Achievements were temporarily disabled in late March and re-enabled on March 29. Despite that, achievements earned during the down period have not yet been unlocked.
According to Rare, the team are currently working on a fix for this and will have an ETA available to users cruising the high seas as soon as possible.
All being well, the next time you boot up Sea of Thieves and step onto your sloop, your gold should have been recovered. Some achievements will still be locked for the foreseeable future – but at least you’ll be swimming in gold. That’s the main thing.
