Sea of Thieves Update Today: When Does Sea of Thieves Scheduled Maintenance End?

There will be a Sea of Thieves update today, as Rare has pushed out a Sea of Thieves scheduled maintenance session before the brand new patch will be deployed. With the pirating adventure now releasing weekly updates in order to keep its player base active, players can expect more maintenance sessions (and the Kiwibeard error) in the near future. Let’s take a look at when this scheduled maintenance will end, and what players can expect when they hop back into the game.

Sea of Thieves Update Today: Maintenance End Time

The Sea of Thieves maintenance will come to an end at 2pm BST, according to Rare. 2pm BST to EST and PST is 9am and 6am respectively, so you won’t have to wait long before you can jump back in the game.

“The Sea of Thieves servers are now down for scheduled maintenance and we expect this to last until 2pm BST,” a tweet from Rare reads. “Players will not be able to join the game while this essential work is carried out. We’ll update you all when the work is complete!”

Sea of Thieves Update Today: What to Expect

The Sea of Thieves update will bring with it some fixes in a client update. While some of these fixes aren’t confirmed to work fully as intended, here’s what Rare has outlined thus far:

  • Fixes bug preventing players from equipping second weapon.
  • Fixes Bounty Quests occasionally not triggering skeletons.
  • Fixes player rewards being delayed.
  • Fixes players being unable to access the game during peak times.

While Rare has stated that some of these fixes have already been pushed live and they are actively monitoring them, the maintenance window will allow them to tinker further and make adjustments when need be. This update doesn’t contain anything particularly exciting, but rather bug fixes and improvements.
