While PS4 owners are getting their hands on God of War, players who own other consoles, including Xbox One, Switch, and PC, may very well have an axe to grind. They’re missing out on all of the deicide. But could that change any time soon?
Will God of War Come to PC and Xbox One?
Unfortunately, God of War will remain on PS4 as an exclusive for the foreseeable future. Santa Monica Studios are one of Sony’s most-trusted studios, and that won’t change anytime soon.
The bigger roadblock to God of War on Xbox One, Switch and PC would be the fact that the game featuring Kratos and his son Atreus is also published by Sony.
Even crossovers are out of the question. As of right now, the only way to play as Kratos outside of the God of War franchise would be to pick up a PS3 or PS Vita copy of 2011’s Mortal Kombat, or PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Is God of War a PS4 exclusive?
God of War is one of PlayStation’s most recognizable series and, as such, will remain an exclusive alongside the likes of Uncharted and The Last of Us. While previous Sony mascots, such as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, eventually ended up spreading their wings, God of War is a PS4 exclusive – with no plans to change that.
