If nothing else, PUBG sure knows how to stop its chicken dinners from going stale. Replacing popular limited-time game mode Tequila Sunrise is PUBG War Mode, a giant 10 v 10 v 10 bout of Team Deathmatch.
PUBG War Mode: When Does it Start?
Starting from April 12 at 10pm EST/April 13 3AM BST and running until April 15 at 10pm EST/April 16 3AM BST, PUBG War Mode has an extremely small window of 72 hours for gamers to get their war on. After that, expect a new game mode to enter rotation.
PUBG War Mode: What Are The Rules?
The rules, revealed on the PUBG forums, are simple: three teams of 10 will land on the map, as you would in a typical Battle Royale game. From there, you are shepherded into a small playable area, marked by a circle on your map, and engage in a 15-minute game of Team Deathmatch. The circle will not decrease throughout the game.
The biggest change from the traditional PUBG Battle Royale mode is that respawns are active for PUBG War Mode. As for equipment, each player will start with a level one vest and helmet, a grenade, plus a designated pistol and rifle, selected at random. Loot will still be available as per normal and care packages drop every 90 seconds.
PUBG War Mode: How Do You Win PUBG War Mode?
The first team to 200 points (three points for a kill, one for a revive or downing an opponent and minus five for team-killing) wins the game, or the highest score after 15-minutes will also walk away victorious.
PUBG War Mode: What Platforms Is PUBG War Mode Available On?
PUBG War Mode is available on Xbox One, mobile and PC. There are no noticeable differences between two formats though, of course, the PC version is liable to run at a consistent 60fps.
