Another week brings another set of Fortnite challenges. The set of Week 9 challenges are some of the most diverse yet. The Taco Shop challenge may leave a few stumbling, but it’s the Moisty Mire Treasure Map that has the most people scratching their heads. But worry not: here’s a guide on how to complete the Week 9 Fortnite Moisty Mire Treasure Map challenge – and what you get at the end of your quest.
Fortnite Moisty Mire Treasure Map: Where to Find The Treasure Map
The first (and only) clue you’ll get comes in the form of the Moisty Mire Treasure Map itself. To find it, head to Moisty Mire, located in the south-east section of the map. Once there, head to the outskirts of the mire you’ll be able to see the treasure map, which features a triangular-shaped section of trees ‘pointing’ to a large house with two chimneys.
It is worth noting that you don’t have to go the Moisty Mire in-game to unlock or complete this challenge. Instead, you can see the treasure map below and go from there.
Fortnite Moisty Mire Treasure Map: Deciphering the Clue
The clue for the Moisty Mire Treasure Map can be a little tough to figure out at first. However, should you bring up your map and head just south of Retail Row, you will see a peculiar triangle of trees (look familiar?) pointing towards a set of houses due west.
That is the starting point for your treasure hunt, so you’re going to want to head on over there at the beginning of a game to avoid any players or the ever-closing storm from obstructing your path to the goal.
Fortnite Moisty Mire Treasure Map: Where to Find The Treasure
Follow the ‘arrow’ west until you reach the aforementioned set of houses. You’re going to want to head to the one that’s located slightly more north – the two chimneys are a giveaway. Once you’ve done that, climb on up to the roof of the house to grab your Battle Star. Treasure hunt complete!
Fortnite Moisty Mire Treasure Map: Rewards
Upon completing the Moisty Mire Treasure Map, you’ll be rewarded with 10 Battle Stars. However, you must complete the match (you don’t have to win it, though) instead of immediately quitting out. This will also count towards your overall quota for the week, with players needing to complete four out of seven challenges to claim their reward. The rest of the challenges are as follows:
- Deal damage to opponents’ structures
- Search chests in Haunted Hills
- Build structures
- Visit different Taco shops in a single match
- Shotgun eliminations
- Eliminate opponents in Lucky Landing
