Those looking to secure the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 pre-order bonus will first want to know what you get for pre-ordering, and whether it’s worth putting down the money early. For the Call of Duty 2018 release, there are currently two Black Ops 4 versions of the game up for pre-order, with additional bonuses available from certain retailers. Here’s what you need to know about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 pre-order bonus.
Black Ops 4 Pre-Order: Specialist Edition
In addition to the standard version, there’s a Black Ops 4 Specialist Edition, which includes some additional content. Everyone that pre-orders Black Ops 4 will gain access to the Black Ops 4 Private Beta, no matter which edition of the game they choose. Those who go for the Specialist Edition, however, will get a bonus 1,100 Call of Duty Points and bonus digital items. (This digital content will be announced at a later date.)
The Black Ops 4 Specialist Edition is being made exclusively available at select retailers, meaning you might not see it at your usual game store. If you really want the Specialist Edition, you’ll need to find the specific store selling it, which will vary depending on your location.
Black Ops 4 Pre-Order: CoD Points
Though Black Ops 4 CoD Points weren’t explicitly mentioned during the game’s multiplayer reveal event, they are clearly making a return, as they are included with the Black Ops 4 Specialist Edition. These will likely be used to purchase Supply Drops, as has been the case in previous Call of Duty games.
If you’re not yet sure which edition of the game to pre-order, we’d recommend waiting to see if any other versions get announced. It’s possible that there will be a Collector’s Edition, as has been the case before. There’s also a chance that a Black Ops 4 PS4 console will be revealed during E3 2018. Perhaps it’s worth waiting to see?
