The Fortnite Playground Mode has been revealed by Epic Games. This new mode was unveiled as part of the fifth major State of Development announcement from the developer. This fifth installment gave players and fans a look at what’s coming up in the near future for the game from changes to additions and more.
Fortnite Playground Mode is but one of the many new additions that players can expect very, very soon. Though the recent update this week saw the long-awaited release of the Jetpack, it seems there is no stopping Epic. This Playground Mode is one that players will want to know about.
Fortnite Playground Mode Explained
Fortnite Playground Mode is going to be a new limited time mode that players will have the chance to jump into and check out for a short period of time. However, this mode seems to be a lot different than previous ones like the Thanos crossover and 50 versus 50.
Instead, Fortnite Playground Mode acts as exactly as what it sounds like; a playground for you to mess around in. It is your typical Battle Royale match with a few tweaks to the overall systems in place. For one, you will be dropped unto the map with a lot more time to explore and loot than usual.
All chests and ammo crates will be spawned into each match so you can go to your favorite locations with no worry about no loot waiting for you there. Additionally, friendly fire will be enabled but there will be “immediate respawns” to counteract it.
Fortnite Playground Mode certainly seems like an odd limited time mode but it could act as a great way for players to familiarize themselves with the whole map in a less demanding environment than a normal Battle Royale match. For more on its release date, keep it locked here.
