What do you get when you take two of the biggest entities on the planet, Fortnite and the World Cup 2018 and smash them together at full force? A perfectly trolltastic ‘Take the L’ soccer celebration, that’s what. Step forward French attacker Antoine Griezmann, who put on his dancing shoes in one of the biggest games in his career.
Fortnite Griezmann: Watch the ‘Take the L’ Celebration
After slotting home a penalty in the 13th minute for France against Argentina in the last-16 of the World Cup, Antoine Griezmann ran to the corner flag and performed something that is now as synonymous with the forward as it is with Fortnite. Take. The. L.

The 27-year-old Atletico Madrid striker has previous with Fortnite dances, pulling off both the Take the L emote, as well as the backpack dance in the 2017/18 Europa League campaign for his club. But now he’s taken it to the world stage.
Fortnite Griezmann: Take the L Emote
While not everyone will get a chance to bring the floss or any other Fortnite emotes to the World Cup 2018, most players will already have the Take the L in their virtual lockers. However, unless you’ve been around in the battle royale game for a while, there’s a good chance you haven’t had a chance to purchase the emote.
The last chance players had to buy it was Fortnite season 3 and, with the Blast Off event imminent, it appears that the emote is missing out on season 4. Tier 31 of the Season 3 Battle Pass once included the Take the L unlock but, as the item storefront often rotates classic and previously-popular items, there’s a very good chance for players to buy Take the L for 500 V-Bucks in July and August. You might just have Antoine Griezmann to thank for it.
