The number of Fortnite concurrent players has to be absolutely massive, right? It seems like everyone is playing the game! Even celebrities like Drake are partaking, indirectly promoting it to the masses. The game is regularly covered by mainstream media outlets, and kids big and small seem obsessed with the Fortnite skins and emotes. It’s all crazy, and points towards a huge number of Fortnite concurrent players.
Fortnite Concurrent Players: How Many People Play Fortnite?
The latest Fortnite concurrent players statistic was shared by Epic Games back in February of this year. At that time, over 3.4 million players were all active at the same time. This includes those on consoles and PC, the only platforms that were supported at that time.
Now that Fortnite is also available on iPhone and Nintendo Switch, we can assume that the number of people playing Fortnite has increased. Sure, some users will have stopped playing, but the number of new users on phone and Switch almost certainly make up for that.
Unlike Steam games, which allow users to see just how many people are playing, there isn’t a way of tracking the Fortnite concurrent players figure. Epic Games uses its own client and doesn’t like to give users that kind of information.
The only way we’re going to know the latest number of Fortnite concurrent players is if Epic Games chooses to share that information. The team has proven to be very vocal on social media, communicating with players and providing information about updates and issues. However, when it comes to statistics like player count, the social media accounts have kept quiet. Perhaps we can expect some more boastful tweets when a new impressive milestone is accomplished. Surely it’s only a matter of time before 5+ million concurrent users are tracked? I can certainly see that happening!
