The free update ride on Kirby Star Allies continues. Since launch, Nintendo has been adding new Dream Friends into Kirby Star Allies for free. On the game’s launch, we were able to add Bandana Waddle Dee, King Dedede and Meta Knight to our plucky teams. The first batch of Star Allies Dream Friends was nice, but since then it has doubled in size. Rick, Kine, and Coo have joined the party alongside Marx and Gooey. Nintendo has announced who we’ll be able to adventure alongside in Star Allies’ next free update.
On July 27, 2018, Nintendo will be bringing three new Kirby Star Allies Dream Friends along for the adventure. Just who will Kirby be adventuring with now? Daroach, Dark Meta Knight, and Adeleine & Ribbon. These three classic characters will all be joining the Kirby Star Allies party! Watch the nifty announcement trailer below:

Accessing the Star Allies Dream Friends couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is head on over to the Dream Palace (which you’ll find in each of the game’s worlds). Jump into the Dream Rod and a Dream Friend wheel will start spinning, ending with a tap of a button. Remember, though, that you can only use the Dream Palace upon the completion of a stage.
The Kirby faithful will no doubt be excited by this news, but for those unaware, we’ll dive into the details of the three new Dream Friends in Kirby Star Allies.
Kirby Star Allies Dream Friend: Daroach
Daroach was introduced in Kirby Squeak Squad and has appeared in a small number of titles since. The mouse is your antagonist in Squeak Squad. In Star Allies, he uses his wand to attack with ice beams alongside his sizeable claws. Fire bombs are at his disposal, and he can call on the aid of his squad, to boot.
Kirby Star Allies Dream Friend: Dark Meta Knight
Dark Meta Knight is a more evil copy of the classic Kirby anti-hero/villain Meta Knight. He first appeared in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror as a boss. In Star Allies, Dark Meta Knight can summon giant swords, use mirror projections and spin attacks.
Kirby Star Allies Dream Friend: Adeleine & Ribbon
Everyone’s favorite artist, Adeleine, first appeared in Kirby’s Dream Land 3 back on the SNES. Whatever she paints, it comes to life. Ribbon, meanwhile first appeared in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The fairy was potentially a love interest for Kirby back then. In Star Allies, Adeleine paints enemies to help Kirby out, whilst Ribbon carries her when flying.
Will you be adding any of these Dream Friends into your Kirby Star Allies adventures? The free update goes live July 27 2018.
