Ubisoft has released another big patch to both swell the Arcade Editor as well as polish out a few kinks in recent DLC expansions. Far Cry 5 Title Update 9 brings not only the goodies and content from its latest DLC, Dead Living Zombies, but the patch notes also promise a bunch of Photo Mode fixes and other changes.
Far Cry 5 Title Update 9: Main Changes
While the new DLC hasn’t gone live yet, Ubisoft has set everything up to ensure it goes swimmingly by putting in the entirety of the Dead Living Zombies DLC contents into the game.
In addition to that, there’s a handful of stability fixes, including a handful of PC-specific issues being patched up. A great deal of work has also gone into Photo Mode as that’s undergone a significant overhaul, plus the Arcade Mode lobby has sorted out its most irritating glitch wherein a player can get booted from the game if the party is full and an additional player tries to join. That’ll be a friendship-saver, I’m sure of it.
Far Cry 5 Title Update 9: Photo Mode
The following, from Ubisoft, outlines exactly what has changed when it comes to the Far Cry 5 Photo Mode:
- Fixed various issues with Photo Mode
- Fixed sound issues when using certain weapons
- Fixed an issue where the shovel would become un-usable when bringing up Photo Mode as the weapon breaks
- Fixed an issue where photo mode was unavailable for the DLCs before completing the intro mission of the main game
- Fixed issues with melee weapons
Everything from a bizarre DLC glitch to melee weapons causing all sorts of havoc in Photo Mode have now been addressed. So, despite not being able to do so before, you can use Photo Mode at any point in the game.
Far Cry 5 Title Update 9: Dead Living Zombies DLC
The Far Cry 5 Dead Living Zombies DLC is slated to arrive pretty soon… but not yet. Title Update 9 may have included all of the content (entrepreneurial PC players can probably dig into those files if they so wish), but it’s not yet available to play. Watch this space for details in the future. Expect the DLC to drop within the final two weeks of August.
