A free Destiny 2 Cayde-6 theme has been released for PS4 to commemorate the passing of the Hunter class Vanguard. This PS4 theme is also celebrating the upcoming expansion to the game, Forsaken. So, how do you get the free theme and how long will it be around? Let’s find out.
What is the Free Destiny 2 Cayde-6 Theme?
The free Destiny 2 Cayde-6 theme is being released to coincide with the new expansion, Forsaken. It depicts Cayde-6 being carried out of a battlefield by the player after the Exo was slain in battle. The theme will give your PS4 dashboard a new background. Since this is a dynamic theme, all the functionalities of the PlayStation Dynamic Menu should carry over, such as the background changing depending on what game is currently highlighted. The theme is also animated and features music from the upcoming Forsaken expansion.
How To Get The Free Destiny 2 Cayde-6 Theme?
To get the theme, fans of the Exo Vanguard must go to the PlayStation Store and search for “Destiny 2: Forsaken – Free Dynamic Cayde-6 Theme”. From there they can download the PS4 theme for free. You can do this either on the PS4 itself or from the website. The theme is available now and does not seem to have any end-date attached to it, so you will be able to download it at any time.
To set apply the PS4 theme, you must:
- Select “Settings” from the menu on the dashboard by pressing up on the d-pad
- Click on the “Themes” option to take you to another submenu
- Go to the “Select Theme” menu
- Find the Cayde-6 theme in the menu and press the X button to apply it
If you follow those steps, the theme should now be on your PS4 dashboard.
