Apple iPhone XS vs XS Max vs XR: Which New iPhone Should I Get?

The Apple iPhone Keynote 2018 event is upon us. The annual unveiling of the newest edition of the company’s flagship smartphone will kick off at 10am PDT and, thanks to a mistaken leak from Apple themselves, we know what the names of the new range of iPhones will be. The iPhone XS, XS Max and XR will all have unique specifications, but which one should you buy when they launch? Here’s our rundown of the Apple iPhone XS vs XS Max vs XR.

Apple iPhone XS vs XS Max vs XR: What’s the Standard iPhone for 2018?

With three different iterations of this year’s iPhone, you may be wondering which one will best suit your needs. Starting off with the standard version, the Apple iPhone XS comes equipped with a 5.8-inch OLED touchscreen. According to the leak that was pulled from Apple’s website, the iPhone XS will be available to buy in three different colors aside from the regular black, white et al. – silver, gray and gold – although you can apparently only purchase a gold iPhone XS with a 64GB HDD, and a gray one with a 256GB HDD.

Apple iPhone XS vs XS Max vs XR: What About the Other Two iPhone Variations?

Moving away from the iPhone XS, you’ll be able to buy either a bigger iPhone – the XS Max – or a budget version called the XR. The XS Max will come fitted with a mammoth 6.5-inch OLED touchscreen, and it will be available in the same colors as the XS. Unlike the iPhone XS, however, consumers will have the option to fit their XS Max with a 512GB HDD, which means you’ll have much more space to store all of those cool looking images.

Finally, the iPhone XR sports a 6.1-inch LCD touchscreen and offers consumers the chance to own a more affordable iPhone. Speculation suggests it will be priced at $699, and it is supposedly set to come in black, white, red, yellow, coral or blue. You can fit it with 64GB or 256GB storage too, but having a 512GB HDD on a budget iPhone may not be viable.
