Forza Horizon 4 Switch

Forza Horizon 4 Switch Release Date: Is It Coming to Switch?

We’re fast approaching the release date of Forza Horizon 4, one of the year’s most anticipated racing games. It’s out next month for Xbox One and PC, but what about Nintendo Switch? Is it coming to Nintendo’s latest console? Is there a Forza Horizon 4 Switch release date? We’ll try our best to give you the answers.

Will Forza Horizon 4 Come to Nintendo Switch?

Sadly, Microsoft are publishing Forza Horizon 4 and they’ve just bought developers Playground Games. Therefore it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Forza Horizon 4 will not being coming to Nintendo Switch, or PS4 either. It will only ever be available on Xbox consoles and PC, and on PC it’ll only be on the Microsoft Store for now on Windows 10, not Steam or any other digital platform.

Of course Forza has only ever been an Xbox series anyway, and Playground Games historically only release games for Microsoft platforms. Don’t expect any of the other Forza games to be ported over to Switch either, then. In fact, Forza Horizon 4 will even include a crossover with Microsoft’s flagship Halo series, and that alone strongly signifies we’ll never see the game on Switch or PS4. Sorry, folks.

If you’re after a Forza-like racing game for the Nintendo Switch, your best bet right now is probably V-Rally 4. It’s also available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, and it’s out this month on those platforms. The Switch release date is still to be determined, unfortunately. Well, there’s always Mario Kart we suppose.

When Is the Forza Horizon 4 Release Date?

Forza Horizon 4 will release on October 2 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC via the Windows Store. If you pre-order the game you can start preloading right now, and you can start playing on the early access launch date of September 28, just a week and a half from now.
