Assassin's Creed Odyssey Fast Travel

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – How to Fast Travel

Fast travel in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a must. Greece is absolutely gigantic in this game, and if you try to get everywhere on foot you’re gonna spend tens of hours just in travel time. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey fast travel works much like it did in previous games. However, there are some differences you’re gonna want to be aware of.

How to Fast Travel in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

You won’t be introduced to fast travel in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey like you have been in past games. No one goes out of the way to explain how the feature works, or why you should seek it out. In fact, you could likely go the whole game without unlocking the majority of the fast travel points if you so desired.

To unlock a fast travel point in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you’ll need to find a synchronization point. Just like in past games these points are usually high up on top of buildings, mountains, statues, and so on. Synchronizing at these points will unlock the ability to travel to that spot almost any time you desire. The exception is that you can’t fast travel in combat and in certain gameplay segments of the game.

In addition to the fast travel spots you unlock by visiting synch points, you’ll get a smattering of other ones. When exploring certain tombs or caves, completing the location objectives will allow you to return to the location at any time. You can also instantly travel to your ship no matter where it’s located.

However, even with all the fast travel points you potentially have available to you, they tend to be further apart than past Assassin’s Creed games. The likely causes for this are that Greece is absolutely huge and this entry in the series focuses more on exploration.
