Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Best Ending – How to Get the True Ending

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is built on choice and, while it doesn’t always succeed, it is there. And some of those choices can come back to bite you, particularly at the end. There are nine different endings to the game. But you’ll likely want to know how to get the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey best ending.

Basically, you need to try to keep every important character alive. But for a more detailed description, check the spoiler-heavy guide below. If you’re OK with spoilers or just want to know how to get the best ending in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, then keep reading.

How to Get the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Best Ending

The first choice comes in Episode 2 in The Wolf of Sparta mission. When you are about to meet The Wolf  on the cliff, you’ll have the opportunity to murder him. Resist your urge for revenge and don’t murder The Wolf. The person may not show up for a bit, but they do return and are vital to the good ending.

The second step in in Episode 6. When talking to your mother, you have to promise to her that you’ll save Deimos from the cult. Seems innocuous but it helps.

You have two choices to make in Episode 7. First, you need to convince Nikolaos to go meet with Stentor, your step-brother, during mission called The Last Fight of Aristaios where you have to find and assassinate four important Athenians. He will show up as you try to murder the Athenian on the island in Lake Kopais.

This leads into the second choice where you’ll need to not murder Stentor, which will happen after you finish the aforementioned story mission. Nikolaos will intervene if you don’t try to fight him, which is what you want.

Also it helps to tell Deimos to “hold on” when the tree falls on them in the mission called The Battle of Pylos.

Then, in Episode 8, make sure to tell Deimos that they are being controlled by the cult when you are in the prison cell in the Doing Time mission. This will make them wonder whether or not they are in control. This is what you want. It is a good sign if you hear them say “I am not your puppet” to Kleon.

Your last decision in the game comes in Episode 9 in the Where It All Began mission where you must refuse to fight Deimos. If done right, you’ll start the next epilogue mission at dinner with your entire family: your mom, step-dad, Stentor, and Deimos.
