Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now, and many players are enjoying the battle royale mode Blackout, with all its many secrets. It’s actually possible to unlock new character skins for use in Blackout based on classic Call of Duty characters, through Character Missions. But what are Black Ops 4 Character Missions? Where do you get them, and how do you use them to unlock character skins? We’ll do our best to answer.
How to Find and Complete Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Character Missions
Black Ops 4 Character Missions can be found in Blackout. They have to be found during a Blackout round, and can be picked up from Supply Drops, Supply Crates, and scavenged from dead opponents if they were carrying one of the mission requirements.
When you find a Character Mission you’ll receive instructions on what you’ll need to do. The most important thing to realize is that you’ll need to complete the mission within a single round, so if you get killed you’ll have to start completing the objectives from scratch. These objectives include finding or using certain items, avoiding certain types of damage, and ending the match in a specific location. Yes, all without being KO’ed.
How to Unlock Blackout Characters With Character Missions
Character Missions can unlock many skins for use in Blackout, with characters from the Specialists, Zombies mode, and classic Call of Duty names such as Alex Mason and Viktor Reznov. However, it should be pointed out that not all of these characters are available in Blackout yet. These are the ones we currently know about.
We’ve got a detailed list of all characters you can unlock in Black Ops 4, but here’s a more general list and what you need to do in their missions.
- Ajax: Scavenge three armor plates from enemies. Complete the match with those three armor plates.
- Crash: End the match with 15 Healing Items. Finish the Match within the specified position. Finish with Poker Chips in Inventory
- Battery: Collect War Machine weapon. Get kills with the War Machine.
- Firebreak: Collect Burned Doll. Confirm Kill or Clean Up a Downed player with fire. Finish the match with Burned Doll in inventory.
- Ruin: Craft the Grapple Gun from missing pieces.
- Seraph: Collect the Annihilator weapon. Kill enemies.
- Recon: Avoid collapse damage. Finish the Match within the specified position. Finish Match with I Ching Coins in inventory
- Torque: Collect Note from Torque. Deploy 2 Razor Wires. Deploy a Barricade. Finish Match with Note in Inventory.
- Frank Woods: Collect Bandana. Get in a Helicopter during the match. Win the match. Finish the match with Bandana in inventory.
- Raul Menendez: Collect Locket. Kill an enemy using melee. Kill an enemy with a shotgun. Finish the match with Locket in inventory.
- Dempsey: Collect Death Machine weapon. Kill Zombies.
- Nikolai: Collect Cymbal Monkey. Kill Zombies.
- Richtofen: Collect Ray Run weapon. Kill Zombies.
- Takeo: Collect Katanas. Kill Zombies.
