Destiny 2 Dragon’s Shadow Armor – How to Get It

There is a wide variety of different gear in Destiny 2, but one of the coolest looking armor sets you can get is The Dragon’s Shadow. It’s not the greatest armor in the game, but it has a number of useful upgrades and perks, and it certainly looks impressive. But how do you get the Destiny 2 Dragon’s Shadow Armor, and what exactly does it offer? We’re here to help.

What is The Destiny 2 Dragons Shadow Armor?

The Dragon’s Shadow armor set is an Exotic Hunter chest armor, and has a number of interesting features. Its main intrinsic perk is that it grants increased movement and weapon handling speed for a short period of time after dodging, which can be very useful. Furthermore, as of the Warmind expansion, if you’re wearing the armor dodging also now reloads all your weapons.

Two mods can be attached to the armor. “Plasteel Reinforcement” increases resilience, and “Restorative” increases health recovery. You can also attach the “Unflinching Submachine Gun Aim” perk, which reduces flinching when aiming SMGs, and “Primary Ammo Finder” which increases the drop chance of ammo for your primary weapon. You can also equip Tiamat, an Exotic Hunter Ornament, to make the Dragon’s Shadow armor look even more awesome.

Where to Get The Destiny 2 Dragon’s Shadow Armor?

As of today, Xur is selling The Dragon’s Shadow chest armor for 23 Legendary Shards, alongside the Crown of Tempests Helmet, the Ashen Wake Gauntlets, and the Crimson Hand Cannon. Otherwise it can be obtained from PVE or PVP loot drops, or as a Powerful Gear Reward from Nightfalls, Flashpoints, etc. It can also be obtained from Exotic Engrams. Since all of these others rely on the luck of the draw, if you’re desperate to get The Dragon’s Shadow you better head to Xur and pay up 23 Legendary Shards before his inventory changes. It won’t be there forever.
