The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 update is a doozy. Not only does it bring Blackjack’s Shop to the table, but Nuketown has returned, there are various gun buffs and nerfs (including a 9-bang nerf) to pore over, Zombies has undergone a massive overhaul, and even some big Blackout changes. It’s all here down below in the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 update patch notes. However, it’s worth noting that the new Black Ops 4 update holds some features back for PS4 exclusivity so be forewarned, Xbox One and PC users!
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 Update – Blackjack’s Shop
Blackjack’s Shop has made its belated arrival onto Black Ops 4’s Black Market. Essentially the rough, gruff, Call of Duty version of Xur, Blackjack will keep his shop topped up with a vast array of multiplayer and Blackout items for you to customize weapons and your character.
However, this isn’t coming to Xbox One and PC until next week, on November 20. For now, only PS4 players will have to make do with the goodies on offer, but expect them to change every so often.
Nuketown Returns in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 Update
It’s back. A hallmark of the Black Ops series, Nuketown, which sees two teams crammed into an idyllic 1950s neighborhood craftily disguised as a nuclear testing range, is back for a fourth time. If you want to make sure you play nothin’ but Nuketown, Black Ops 4 now has a custom Nuketown playlist, plus a Nuketown Featured Playlist. Expect the other playlists to be barren for the next few months…
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 Update Weapon Changes (Gun Buffs and Nerfs)
Here’s where we get into the meta. While the full details are extensive (and can be seen below in the patch notes link), the general outlook is as follows: SMGs have been buffed slightly, with a greater range afforded to them. Assault Rifles have been given a longer range in general, and the Rampart 17’s recoil has been reduced.
Crucially, though, a 9-bang nerf has been introduced. The flash effect has been downgraded by 25%, and the Tactical Mask perk now holds greater heft when it comes to holding off the 9-bang’s debilitating effects.
Zombies and Blackout in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 1.05 Update
Fixing Zombies crashes has been the name of the game for Treyarch over the past few weeks. Everything from Voyage of the Damned through to IX has had crashes removed from the game. Other Zombies glitches have also been ironed out, making the experience a much less stressful one.
Finally, for fans of the battle royale genre, Blackout has undergone a couple of changes: Mason, Woods, Menendez, and Reznov are now available to unlock, while the Bowie Knife has been added as a new weapon. And that’s not all. Nuketown Island has been invaded by hordes of the living undead… so, maybe steer clear of there unless you have some serious firepower.
