Kingdom Hearts 3 PC

Kingdom Hearts 3 PC Release Date – Is Kingdom Hearts 3 on PC?

We don’t have long to wait before we can play Kingdom Hearts 3 now, as the game’s release date has been scheduled for January 25, 2018, on PS4 and Xbox One. The question is, is Kingdom Hearts 3 on PC? If not, will there ever be a Kingdom Hearts 3 PC release date? Read on to find out if we’ll be taking Sora, Goofy, and the gang’s latest adventure onto PC.

Is Kingdom Hearts 3 on PC?

As of writing, Kingdom Hearts 3 is set only to release on PS4 and Xbox One. We won’t be taking Sora on his latest adventure on either the PC or Nintendo Switch. While this may come as a surprise to some, Kingdom Hearts is typically a series associated with PlayStation. An Xbox port is a little surprising over a Switch version of the game (as we have seen the series on Nintendo handhelds before), but it makes sense as the two consoles are comparable in terms of power.

While it is a little disappointing that Kingdom Hearts 3 isn’t on PC, there might just be a glimmer of hope for the much-anticipated RPG to be ported in the future.

Will Kingdom Hearts 3 Ever Release on PC?

Despite there being no official word of any potential future Kingdom Hearts 3 PC ports, Square Enix has been releasing many of its titles on the platform as of late. Final Fantasy 15, for example, received a PC port after its initial console release. Who’s to say that Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t meet the same fate?

According to Famitsu (thanks to DSOG for the translation), the game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, said: “Other hardware is not limited to the Nintendo Switch, and we will consider all of them after the release of the PS4 and Xbox One versions.” It sounds as though based on the success of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Kingdom Hearts 3, Square Enix could port the game to other platforms, which may well include the PC. Fingers crossed.
