You more than likely won’t find a Gauss Rifle lying anywhere around the Fallout 76 map. It’s a rare and powerful weapon, but there are a few places where you can get your hands on a Plan for the weapon. With a Gauss Rifle Plan, you will be able to craft the gun all by yourself. Remember that you will need to be level 35 to find, craft, and equip the Gauss Rifle.
You can find a Gauss Rifle Plan in a variety of different locations. These are as follows:
- MODUS sells them
- Vendors in Brotherhood of Steel and Watoga Shopping Plaza
- Random rewards for Events: AWOL Armaments, Census Violence, Cop a Squatter, Distant Thunder, Line in the Sand, Monster Mash, and Surface to Air
- Low random chance of rewards for Cranberry Bog quests, daily quests, Horde Events, Hunter/Hunted, and Powering Up quests
- A Random Recipe spawn in Ash Heap, Cranberry Bog, Mire, and Savage Divide
Once you have a Gauss Rifle Plan, head to a Weapons Workbench with 14 Aluminum, 6 Circuitry, 4 Silver, 4 Spring, 7 Steel, 8 Wood, and 15 Screw. Congratulations, you now own a Gauss Rifle.
