Is There a Sekiro Shadows Die Twice Switch Release?

The latest From Software game is set to release on March 22, 2019, but is there a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Switch version? Read on to discover exactly which consoles Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to release on, whether or not that list includes the Nintendo Switch, and if not, could it ever come to Nintendo’s dinky hybrid system?

Is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on Switch?

As of writing, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is due to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Neither Activision nor From Software has mentioned a possible Switch port. The more action-oriented Shinobi game from From Software isn’t currently scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch. This may come as a surprise to some, as Dark Souls Remastered recently released on the console.

Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch, a Switch port of Sekiro hasn’t been actively denied, either. Read on to find out if Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will ever come to the Switch.

Will a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Switch Port Ever Happen?

Despite it not appearing all too likely that a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Switch port will ever happen, there is hope. As mentioned above, Dark Souls Remastered has been ported to the Switch. Other “mature” games have, too. The Likes of DOOM, Skyrim, and Wolfenstein 2 are all on the console. Naturally, if Sekiro was to come to Switch, its graphics would need to be toned down a fair amount. With some tinkering, however, the game could theoretically run on Nintendo’s handheld. Look at the games mentioned above, and the likes of Fortnite and Warframe, for example.

Although a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Switch port is possible with some downgrades graphically, we’d need to wait on official word from anyone involved before we can say it will come to the console. So, if you cross your fingers extra hard, Sekiro might just appear on the Switch one day.
