Smash Ultimate Bayonetta is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that can be unlocked in three different ways. Considered to be broken in Super Smash Bros. 4, Bayonetta received significant nerfs ahead of Smash Bros. Ultimate, but is still a very powerful character that players should attempt to unlock as early as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about Smash Ultimate Bayonetta, including how to unlock Bayonetta in Smash Ultimate and where to find Bayonetta in World of Light.
Smash Ultimate Bayonetta – How to Unlock
Smash Ultimate Bayonetta, based on the eponymous Umbra Witch of the popular Bayonetta series, is a Fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that can be unlocked in any of the following ways:
- Playing standard versus matches continuously. If this method is used, Bayonetta will be the 43rd character you unlock, making this method the least optimal one.
- Playing through Mario’s Classic arc. Bayonetta is unlocked second here, with Sonic the Hedgehog being unlocked first. Probably the fastest way to unlock Bayonetta
- Freeing Bayonetta in World of Light. This takes the longest but it’s probably the most fun way of doing it. If you don’t mind waiting a few hours, this is probably the best way to unlock Bayonetta. Also, if you use either of the methods above you have to fight Bayonetta in World of Light anyway, so you might as well just wait.
Smash Ultimate Bayonetta – World of Light Location
Smash Ultimate Bayonetta can be found right behind Roy in World of Light. Roy is located in the center of the map on the light side of World of Light. If you find Roy, you’ll be able to locate Bayonetta pretty easily. It’s important to note that Bayonetta won’t spawn unless you’ve beaten the Master Hand, though, so make sure to do that first.
