As of last week, players can now catch Finneon in Pokemon Go. This means that Pokemon Go fans finally have access to Gen 4’s Lumineon in Pokemon Go. Finneon arrived in Pokemon Go alongside many other Sinnoh Pokemon, all of which came as part of the Pokemon Go 2018 Winter event. While many Gen 4 mons arrived in Go, there are still many that haven’t landed in Niantic’s popular game just yet, including the Lake Trio—Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit—who happen to be featured on the event’s official artwork. However, Finneon did arrive in Pokemon Go, so if you want a Pokemon Go Lumineon, read on for details on how to catch Finneon in Pokemon Go.
How to Catch Finneon in Pokemon Go
Catching Finneon in Pokemon Go is easy. This means that you can get Lumineon pretty easily, too, as you’ll be able to evolve your favorite Finneon once you gather enough Finneon Candy.
You see, Finneon came to Go alongside many other Gen 4 Pokemon who can all be caught in the wild. With it being a water-type, you’re more likely to come across a Finneon on a rainy day. Also, you’re particularly likely to encounter them over the course of the event, so building up an array of Finneons shouldn’t take you too long at all. The full list of new Gen 4 roaming Pokemon is as follows:
- Finneon/Lumineon
- Bronzor/Bronzong
- Snover/Abomasnow
- Croagunk/Toxicroak
- Skorupi/Drapion
On top of this, players can now hatch Munchlax, Chingling, and Mantyke from 7km eggs. Interestingly, a recent datamining session concluded that Leafeon and Glaceon were found in the source code for a future update directly after Mantyke’s entry, meaning that the two Eeveelutions could be coming sooner than expected.
So, Finneon can be caught like any other Pokemon in the wild. On top of this, you can now encounter all of the other Gen 4 Pokemon on the above list, too. Be sure to put some time into Go over the holidays if you can!
