Some Call of Duty Black Ops 4 players are not happy bunnies. There’s apparently been a lack of communication over when the Black Ops 4 Hardcore DLC maps will be made available to those who play this difficulty. So, when will the Black Ops 4 Hardcore DLC maps come into rotation?
Black Ops 4 hardcore DLC maps – What is Hardcore mode?
Black Ops 4‘s Hardcore mode is the game’s various game modes designed for experienced players. Those who have played Black Ops titles before, and who are good at them, usually only play on this difficulty setting. Hardcore versions of these game types come with different features, including no HUD usage, a one shot one kill policy, friendly fire enabled, no ability to heal, and more.
Right now there are five Black Ops 4 modes available on hardcore difficulty – deathmatch, team deathmatch, search and destroy, domination, and kill confirmed. Black Ops 4‘s maps are rotated on these – like normal modes – but the game’s DLC maps are yet to make an appearance.
Black Ops 4 hardcore DLC maps – When will the DLC maps be available?
Treyarch has been tight lipped on when the DLC maps will be circulated into hardcore difficulty, and it’s certainly frustrating players who only game in this mode.
One disgruntled user posted a Twitter exchange with Treyarch on the Black Ops Reddit page, on January 8, to show that there’s no word on when they’ll arrive. The only thing that the developer would state is that there’s “no info” on when the DLC maps will be patched into hardcore mode, and to keep an eye on the Reddit page.
The replies suggest that players weren’t exactly enthused with Treyarch’s response. Those who had stumped up money for the game’s season pass, who were promised that all DLC would be available to them if they purchased the season pass, are clearly missing out. Hopefully Treyarch will add the DLC maps into hardcore mode’s rotation in the very near future.
