Star Wars Battlefront 2 is slowly seeing its playable character roster increase, but there’s still no sign of a Battlefront 2 Mace Windu inclusion. As one of the more popular and diverse characters in Star Wars, he should really be added in. So, is Mace Windu coming to Battlefront 2 anytime soon?
Battlefront 2 Mace Windu – Is he coming to Battlefront 2?
Not in the near future. Or at any point in the future, if you take EA DICE’s official Battlefront 2 roadmap into consideration. So far, General Grevious and Obi-Wan Kenobi have been added in as extra heroes to Battlefront 2‘s roster, while Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker will be patched in during January and February updates respectively.
There’s no word on Mace Windu appearing in Battlefront 2 though, so any hopes of playing as him are dashed. Or are they?
Battlefront 2 Mace Windu – Is there any way to play as Mace Windu?
This is where the power of game mods come into play. A number of mods on PC have been made available by modders and, thankfully, one of them is a Mace Windu mod. Rejoice, everyone, for you can finally play as him!
To play as Mace Windu in Battlefront 2, you’ll want to head to this link on nexusmods.com. A modder named Napkin has replaced Luke Skywalker’s Jedi base skin with a Mace Windu skin in the PC version of the game. His robe and face textures were produced by fellow modder Sorox to fit in with his design.
To get the mod, simply click on the “file” tab, manually download the mod, and add the file into the relevant folder in the Battlefront 2 games folder. Then, load up the game and you should be able to select Mace Windu in the character select area instead of Luke Skywalker. If he doesn’t appear, you may have put the file in the wrong folder.
